Wii Firmware update + Action Replay = D:

Maybe you can see this before you download, but if you haven't already seen my post in the Wii thread,

If you like Action Replay (and other Datel products), if you have downloaded the latest firmware, it will no longer work, HAW. As well as any other disk with the El Torito standard header format...

From my reading, it allows you to boot it up, then gives a Disk Read Error (DRE).


Good news is a mod will fix all that.

So wait, does that mean there won't be a Wii AR, which in turn means we won't get to tinker with Brawl? You know, no awesome discoveries like the restaurant test level, or the ability to use crazy hand.

I am sure someone will tinker toddle with the Wii or whatever to get something like that avaliable and then spam it on the web. It might be hard work if these things are good but it will eventually happen. Would this mean a + for hackers going down on online play with Master Hand in Brawl though. I never thought of that.

The AR and blocked disks is for the GCN portion of Wii only so far.

Last time I checked you can't AR Wii games with GC AR.
