Why do you play Meta Knight?

Clearly, Meta Knight is very good and is therefore very attractive to tier whores. I realize how good he is a major factor to a lot of people. i want to see what everyone else likes about him, though.

Why do you play Meta Knight?

I play him because I've always wanted him in the Smash roster since the Melee days, and I got my wish in Brawl and thus I main him.

So far in the current metagame MetaKnight simply wins tournaments due to everything E.M. mentioned.


Besides MK is an awesome looking character with a sexy latin voice ;/

Here's how to win.

Tornado any time, shuttle loop repeatedly but not too much, maybe just 80 times in a row. ANytime you come too close to the enemy just hold A then follow up, run away, or tornado. There are no such things as empty jumps with MK, you must spam aerials all the time, even if the enemy is on the other side of the stage. Spam smash attacks because they are quick like Ness's Dtilt and pikachu's neutral A.

Seriously, just mash the buttons and you'll win.

Its funny, I was most excited about metaknight coming into the game as soon as he was announced. I went out of my way to make sure all my friends knew I was planning on using him in brawl. When the game came out he was way easy to play and for that reason unappealing. It isn't fun to play as him and I don't feel like it requires much, if any skill. I would pass my opponents and smash the wrong way and still hit people WTF @ HIS HITBOXES ARE ********.

I'm not trying to troll or flame, I really love metaknight as a character and love beating metaknight players but I seriously cannot play him just because he is top tier. Its kind of funny because I mained marth back in Melee. <_<

EDIT: Okay so I realize I was completely ****ting on mk in this post and I'm on the mk board. Don't take it offensively, people are allowed to have different opinions. You don't have to argue mine, its how I feel, not you and I realize that. He is a viable character and does require skill to beat skilled players of other characters. Just how much is debatable

Please don't take this as a flame, as it's not intended as such. MK's learning curve isn't any less than the majority of the charcters. There are exceptions, of course (looking at you ICs and Yoshi). The thing is, a MK who knows his character equally well as another will probably win. However, if they have more skill than you with their character, they've got the clear advantage. Everyone has practice against MK.

It's not that he's easier to play. It's more that he's easier to win with because he's simply good.
