Ok i'm done. Anyway, a direct focused on smash can only mean one thing: they are going to announce the release date of the game, which mean it's relatively close.
If the game is coming in summer (yes i'm being optimistic), this is the best time to generate hype, so nintendo is going to reveal at least 2 (wanted) newcomer, i'm going with 3.

Here is a list of character that will generate hype and have some chance to get in (taken from the "Rate Their Chances" thread):
-Palutena
-Ridley
-K.Rool
-Shulk
-Dixie Kong

As we know DK has already 2 characters revealed, if they get a new rep it's probably going to be a secret character, so no reveal in the direct for K.Rool/Dixie.
That leaves us with the trio Palutena,Ridley,Shulk. Palutena is wanted all around the world, Ridley in the west and shulk in japan, they are perfect to generate hype.

I'm keeping my expectations low to save myself from disappointment. I really, REALLY want Shulk to get confirmed! My hype will go through the roof! But... I don't expect him to get confirmed.
I will just probably be satisfied with veterans like Wario, Yoshi, Captain Falcon, and Meta Knight getting confirmed.
