Buffed recovery doesn't fix every other problem he has. Far as I know he still can't pressure shields.

I don't think that'll matter as much considering shields seem weaker, plus he got another buff in being able to do his tilts out of dash along with his jab.

Shield pressure thing could still apply but he's still gonna be really scary in the heat of the moment.

Not saying high or top but a decent threat

I'll be shocked if this game ends up balanced at all lol.

I feel that's gonna be apparent really fast. Like, hell, I'll eat crow if Cloud is top tier in this one.

Cloud’s recovery might be awful but he’s still very fast and has powerful combos and kill moves with great range and solid frame data. He has a solid neutral and offensive game but he’s definitely not the best character right now but until they nerf any of the above, Cloud is absolutely a contender for top tier or high tier.

Ike will be god tier on Moray Towers. All joking aside, Pikachu’s nair looks ridiculous, Sonic is probably still good, I would say Ganon will finally be mid tier or better again, but I would say the best character is Little Mac. Literally everything about him was buffed (even his recovery)

the normal moray towers isnt even looking like a legal stage and ike is still slow compared to most characters. same for ganon. Little Mac is buffed sure but he still has crap air game and with the nerfs to landing lag make it even harder for him to land safetly, and only being able to airdodge once is also a bit of a nerf to his own recovery lol.

i'm not sure on how the final game would turn out because im like 90% sure the e3 footage will be used to adjust balance but most of the high tiers in 4 look like they still will be at least good in ultimate, fox i've heard bad things about however. As everyone already said Pikachu looks omega buffed and maybe this could be the game that makes pit pretty good too

Hopefully Falco, like in Melee. What they did to him with smash 4 is ********. Luckily it's been confirmed so far that his blaster is faster now and comes with reduced endlag. But he will probably still suck.

Seriously though, I do think that due to general rankings in the past that , , and have a pretty good chance. In terms of characters in enough games to where they can accurately be judged based on previous rankings, they hold the top three positions for highest average spot on tier lists.
