I really wanted a song for EVERY universe which has a character, so Smiles and Tears (Earthbound) rather than Route 10 (Pokémon). Mega Man 2 Medley rather than Pac-Man (classic mix). Wii Fit Plus Medley rather than Plaza / Title (Animal Crossing). Flat Zone 2 rather than Mii Plaza (but that's a Brawl, but How to Play and Brinstar are also classic ones). Gyromite / Stack-Up rather than Temple Theme (The Legend of Zelda). Wonder World rather than Menu 2 (Melee) (personal choice, but also weird because of Sonic's music tracks, Gaur Plain and YWKON are also classic).

Some personal favourites which I would change: Pedal Glider / Light Plane (Vocal Mix), Nintendo Land Medley / Mario Paint Medley, Wii Sports Series Medley / The Mysterious Murasame Castle Medley, Dark Pit / Dark Pit's Theme, Paper Mario Medley / Try, Try Again.

Yeah, it seems like some kind of contract issue prevented Mother/Sonic/Mega Man music from being available on the CD.

I'm bummed at the Fire Emblem music selection. Fight 1 and Id(Purpose) only? Fight 1 is just too repetitive and boring for me to listen to outside of the game. Id(Purpose) is a great song, but it's not an remix and the non-cut version of the song has been available on CD for a while in Japan. For new remixes, I would have preferred the Meeting Theme Series Medley. The Mystery of the Emblem Medley would have been cool too. Or they could have used one of the awesome Brawl remixes, like Fire Emblem Theme, Attack, or the Melee Together We Ride mix.

So if I had to pick one, it would be Meeting Theme Series Medley. I do greatly desire the Fortress Boss theme from Mario as well, though.

The lack of any Mega Man tracks also makes me extremely sad.

Well, tbh, I am disappointed by the ost csd for several reasons, but this one was the biggest one.

I mean, they really could have put more disc.....really (double layers exists).

Well, give it some time, and the entire OST will be online for download. (Not officially, but someone will rip the tracks.) I mean, Nintendo gave this away for FREE, so they weren't going to pack it with content like they did with Smash Wii U.

Edit: After looking it up, someone already ripped the entire OST. I won't link it, because it's technically an illegal download. But if you search for it, it's pretty easy to find. But it's also a 4.6GB file.

I wanted "Time To Fight!". It's a great piece by the same composer that does the Kingdom Hearts OSTs. I have bought all of the KH OSTs except for the remastered ones, and would have loved to have this track too because it's like exactly her KH style. xD

Yes, there's a second version. You don't know about it because they just replaced it with the English cover of the first version when it came to localization. Frankly, I'm pissed about this because... well, just listen to it!

The one song you had to cut from the English version, and you don't even put it on the soundtrack disc as a bonus for your biggest supporters? Why would you do that to us?!

The complete lack of EarthBound music makes me sad. But If I had to pick some, it'd be Magicant (Amazing song) and Smile and Tears. Onett too I guess although that was my least favorite of the 3.

I'm surprised they didn't put in Final Destination ver. 2 on the Blue CD. Yeah, it's another SSB4 theme remix, but it's pretty good compared to the others.

I can understand the lack of Sonic music as they're not remixed at all...but something would've been nice, even moreso for the Mega Man music that DID have remixes. The lack of both seemed weird, but I guess they didn't wanna include third party music (thus paying more money to those companies for rights to release them I guess?) and Pacman music got in because Namco-Bandai was already part of the dev team.

So, guys, I just got the cd in my mail (I didn't even received an email to tell it shipped....).

I know why it<s a bit disappointing and it's actually not much disappointing at all, but they could have done better.

See, I just explored the files....they are uncompressed wav. It's not lossless flac or snything, it's wav.

Now, as someone who is EXTREMELY picky on audio quality, I have to applaud nintendo for that one. Seriously, it's just awesome to realise that nintendo do cares about our ears's expereince

But you know the obvious drawback, it takes more space and flac is actually lossless so why they at least didn't put low compressed flac is a bit weird, but you know what is more weird?

They are CD, not DVD. To give you an idea, there's around a gig per cd with what you get, but being DVD is like 4gb.....this means that if they gave you 2 dvd instead of 2 cd-rom, they could have roughly made 4 times more tracks. This is why the tracks you get only loop once btw.

72 x 4 = 288.....that's like the half of the whole thing, but what would matter is how evenly distrivuted and diverse the music could have been.

Which leads me to a question.....

Why they didn't use dvd instead?

Though, I have to applaud them for wav. I think the quality is the same or maybe better than the wav I got from ripped raw files.

This. Usually when practicing with my friend, if we're not play FD or BF, I'll pick the Galaxy level on Omega form. As well as looking pretty as hell, the music is amazing... But Grand Finale and the last boss theme from SMG2 is the only tracks I have set on my music. They both should've gotten a place, they're both fantastic.

I would've liked "Mechanical Rhythm" too... I'm glad "You Will Know Our Names" is on there, and I know, but I would've prefer Mechanical over the Medley.

Final Destination ver.2 is also bad*ss. shame that wasn't on.
