Think about it people have basically said hey we can make a better game than you and well lol it looks like they are.

But where will it lead? Brawl was the first smash game hack not counting online play or AR. But it didn't even take a year for people to totally gut the game and start it all over. I know for a fact the makers of brawl will change things IF they make a new one from all of this.

Will this cause brawler to switch, lose more players than the release data, or slow metagame or will it become the new brawl? I would like to hear veiws on were it would go and junk melee has started a little bit but yeah not as much.

So... you're wondering whether, hypothetically speaking, Brawl's hackings will impact future releases of Smash games... or even lead to the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl v2.0, similarly to Street Fighter IV now getting Super Street Fighter IV?

If that's the case, I doubt the big-name companies will do ****.
They care about the money, they got the money.
They wanted to brainwash the petty people into buying the game, they brainwashed the people into buying it.
Who gives a **** about the customer when they'll buy anything, ANYthing, with "Nintendo's All-Stars" clumped together into one stinking pile of disappointment.
Cut all your favorite characters, replace all your favorite stages, break all the new fighters... Who gives a **** so long as THEY - the company - get THEIR money back. That is their TRUE satisfaction.

No.
No, I don't see Brawl hacking doing anything. It helps PROMOTE THE F-ING THING, so why bother making ANOTHER when WE'RE doing it, all the while letting OTHER people know so they can buy the ****ty original only to have the upgrades WE make.

It won't matter. It doesn't matter to them. Keep making your list of things you want to see, keep forming your petitions, keep promoting the word of all this corruption and blanketed deceit. It will always be the same, as it always has been.

. . . *cough*
Got a little carried away there, aye.

Someone's a little bitter but hey I don't blame you though as a fighter this game was a lemon compared to the last one. On top of what you said, In Nintendo's eyes this was always a party game anyway. And as a party game it's pretty awesome. Why else would there be so many (really ANY) insta death items in all three games? So they wouldn't do anything to it anyway. As long as it's notbroken to the point of near unplayable it's "good enough" in Nintendo's eyes.

Well Bigsharkz and Fortwaffles are working on a mewtwo model and animation hack right now so this may influence a brawl 2.0 with mewtwo playable

too true, homebrew can be helpful at times, improving their system is okay, honestly it`s neutral on both sides for me xD ^^

I like the fact that some people think that hacking Brawl equals making a game from scratch.
I doubt Nintendo will care about the hacks made on this site- they obviously don't really care for the competitive scene, and the fact that they differentiated from Melee, and the original for that matter, means that they wanted to try something new.

This is slightly off topic, but I don't get how hacking SSBB to have 'exploits' such as wavedashing is improving it in anyway.

More tools means more depth and more depth means a more interesting and possibly longer lasting game.
