Where are you on the brawl spectrum?

err, if this were reposted as a poll that be nice, but im not gettin my hopes up

neway, where are you on the brawl spectrum, as far as chracters go?

far left- your open to basically any new characters, and are even hoping for characters like James Bond or Goku

left- not as extreme as far left, but hoping for many third party or off base characters, such as pacman, or baloon fighter

middle- your open to the few select third party characters that fit the bill, like snake, and sonic

right- you'd the roster to stay nintendo based, but you guess snake is ok, now that you;ve had time to come to terms with it,

far right- you want the roster to be nintendo's bread and butter and nothing else, you want absolutly no third party characters, only mainstream nintendo, no G&W, no snake, not evn toad

eh... i feel a lock coming on, but whatevr, im just curious about where the members stand, i no iv seen topics supporting this and that, but i dont think iv evr seen a poll, somthing to compare size, neway, meh

I'm right to far right.
I don't want other 3rd parties in except Snake since he's already confirmed, but I'd accept G&W. no toad, and no other insignificant characters (or weak ones) along those lines.

I think snake should be the only exception. The game is about everything Nintendo, its history, its charaters. Thats how I think it should stay.

I think Smash has such an awesome concept for a fighting game that I don't want it to only apply for just Nintendo characters. I believe that Smash should act as an oad to all the sweet characters that have been in videogames. I don't understand why people would want to be so cut and dry when it comes to these things. Snake was such a smart choice for this game, so smart, but since he wasn't from Nintendo origin people feel that somehow matters. Snake already has a moveset from MGS, Snake is a fighter, Snake is a badass.ie perfect for a game like this, and there are many other characters from different origins that would be perfect as well.

Maybe use the spell checker next time, eh? And it's "You're" not "Your"...I was getting tired of reading it.

One more criticism: Balloon Fighter, Mr. Game and Watch, and Toad aren't 3rd party...sooo....I don't get it.

Very slightly to the right, I guess. I don't mind 3rd party characters in brawl. It's just for every 3rd party character, a slot is taken up that could be used for a Nintendo character.

left. i am realistic about how many third party's will be in, which is no more than 2 after snake (sakurai said) the only characters i don't want are clone (doc mario, ww link) and bowser jr. i just don't like bowser jr, i have no reason, so i won't argue about it. i get the thread perfectly, but you might just want to say far left=open minded about any and all characters, far right=main nintendo characters who deserve spots only, middle and right and left are in between respectively.

I'm 'Right' I guess. Snake is a cool addition. But there shouldn't be too many exceptions.

Isn't G&W a Nintendo character? I still have the Game and Watch handheld.

By the way, James Bond will not make it. James Bond is from a movie, and Sakurai said they have to originate from a video game.

In reality, I know that only 2 more 3rd parties are gonna get in, at most. (Sonic and Megaman)

But, I would LOVE it if the game had more 3rd parties in the game. To me, Smash has always just been about awesome characters from different VIDEO-GAMES. Not just from Nintendo.

So, yeah. I geuss I'm left.

Middle. Smash Brothers is and should always be a Nintendo-focused affair. However, I'm completely behind bringing in select third-party characters like Snake, Sonic, MegaMan, Simon Belmont; some which are complete surprises and others that have had major influence on Nintendo's consoles in the past.

But there is such a thing as going overboard. Sakurai should know this, and that's probably why he's going to try to keep as much Nintendo in as possible while making very limited space for outsiders.
