When it comes to 3rd party characters, I think people need to realize something...

Not that I'm saying I would prefer to see Simon Belmont and Bomberman I'm just saying they've been in a smash like game before. I would love it if Chrono, Magus or Megaman were in instead.

Like I have been saying: Geno won't be counted as third party. They won't make a trailer for him when he gets announced like Snake and Sonic. People would just scratch their head and ask who the hell Geno is. Megaman would get his own trailer and would sell copies. They both would sell copies. Sonic, Snake and Megaman for being part of well known franchises that casual gamers know and Geno for being fanservice to old school SNES fans.

The fact that a character is very popular is not reason enough to consider him/her to be in brawl, i guess the most important thing is the relationship with the 3rd parties developers, first there has to be a good relation, then, if they have a good enough character it could be possible to be included

There are a lot of suggestions, bomberman and pacman would be cool, also megaman, but since he has been in fighting games with a very different style i really dont picture him in brawl, but the thing is that square right now is the company that has the best relationship with nintendo (counting only the companies with popular enough characters) but then again, it would be difficult to choose a character that represents them well, it wouldnt be Cloud or any FF character, definitely, cause i dont remember Cloud being in any Nintendo game (maybe im wrong) if it is a big name character like those i think Crono has a lot more chances, plus he IS from a nintendo game, and his game is one of the best games ever which is considered one of the best games, but then again, the game is kinda old so they might want someone more recognizable. so then there is geno, but a lot of people say he is considered 1st party, and even if he is requested a lot, i think square would want a better character to represent them (im not saying he is bad, i actually like him) and i dont think they could put geno as 1st party and another square char as 3rd party

1) Both Bomberman AND Megaman have been in fighting games before so their transition into Smash would be without problems...plus they both have a GREAT chance...

2) If a Square character gets in, it will be without a doubt Geno. Anyway, you people need to realize SQUARE DOESN'T PICK THE CHARACTER, the people in charge of Smash do...READ MCFOX'S LATEST POST IN THE GENO THREAD
