it has minimal startup and ending lag, making it relatively safe and spammable
un crouch cancelled it's a pretty heavy hitter
crouch cancelled it hits upwards of 50%
if peach is on a platform, the downsmash will suck them in for 50% plus as well.
there are probably plenty more reasons.

I think Ice Climber's "down" is broken.

If you jab them when they do that, you're suddenly in their arms and dying I don't understand it.
