1. Play a match or two with each available character online

2. Play SE exclusively (trying out characters as I unlock them) with a friend (they they'll prob want to play on their OWN record so they can unlock characters).

3. Finish all other single player modes (again trying out characters as I unlock them) until I have all of the characters (i'll prob. check GameFAQs or IGN or something to make sure i have them all)

4. Call up friends and start brawling with them online/offline, slowly getting better and better (what i'm currently doing with Melee)

5. If I get good and i'm not too busy, maybe attend a tournament?

Step one: start The subspace emessary.
Step two: finish the subspace emessary
step three: play some " brawls" as Wario, and other characters i'm interested in.
Step Four: if no characters were unlocked in subspace, then start trying to unlock them.
Step five: unlock what ever i can and try out every mode.

what i'll do first? simple

1. go to training mode, and re-aquaint myself with the controls

2. Test out the final smashes of several choice characters (if not all of them)

3. Return my mastery of link by taking on three characters at lvl 9 in an endless match until I can truly destroy them

4. play Wi-Fi and enjoy every second of it, even if I get destroyed constantly

5. Play through Subspace, drool at the plot and not stop, even if my thumbs bleed

6. muck about with the extra features

7. do some unlocking

8. see if I can record and edit video inorder to make a machinima (I hope it's easier to do it than melee was)

9. when all is done, I will use my experience to write a review.

that's my list. after that's finished, I'll just play non-stop

Im gunna play like five 4 stock matches with each control scheme(really only 3 cuz I dont have the CC)...then screw around with the customizations for the control setup and eventually see which control scheme I like the most...

then Ill try out each character in the starting roster...and see who I like the most from that...then Ill play Subspace...and I dunno what Ill do from then on...there isnt enough stuff that is confirmed to make a list yet...

Son, I am going to show it a great time, treat it right, get the mood perfect.

I am going to take care of my daily routines, early, as real life calls for top priority over virtual orgasm...

Then I am going to sink myself into the world of Smash, probably go to the channel son, watch that graphic a few times, and enter in the channel, nice and slowlike. Can't spoil the moment, only comes around once, sort of like my father when he wants some dough.

Anywho, I am going to beat that sandbag around for a while, picture it as Sakurai baby, Sakurai, with a set of demon horns and a "I am richer than you" smile.

Beat the hell out of it, 5 minutes son, virtual lovemaking only possible through virtual inanimate object torture.

Then I am going to eat something...

Possibly my cat, I hate the little ****...

but yea, that's about it son.

Assuming there is a guide for unlocking everything, I'll start grinding through single player to get everything.

The question is, do you know where you are? HMMM?
I think I'd go straight to the Subspace Emissary! This may sound shallow, but I want to see all the cinematics. The ones I've see so far are beautiful, to put it simply.

However, if I have WiFi by then, me and my friend will probably fight online for hours on end first, then we'd do Subspace together.

In order:
1.Camp out/wait for midnight release
2.Stop for food on the way home after getting Brawl
3.Eat said food (lots of places open late in college town!)
5.Enjoy boxart and manuals inside case, and game disc art
4.Play said Brawl
5.Mess around with characters and stages, see what items do, look at Kirby Hats and Final Smashes, try every available character with each controller option
6.Play the balls out of Subspace, and in between do some classic Master Hand mode (if its in)
7.If anybody is awake in the dorm building besides me, do some in person multiplayer
8.Online multiplayer
9.Go to bed, go to class the next day, then play more brawl
10.Go home that weekend and play with friends who dont have a Wii or Brawl so they cant play on wifi

I will do step 5 every time I unlock a new character or stage
Hate to ruin your plan, but if you're picking it up at a midnight release, the "next day" will be Sunday, so you won't be going to class :p

Unless you plan to pull an all nighter and spend the ENTIRE day Sunday playing Brawl. And after reading your list, that might be your plan >_>

Anywho, my plan:

1) Pick it up at midnight
2) Read the box and manual
3) Play Classic Mode with Mario (I just feel like he has to be the first one I use)
4) Be done with it for the night
5) Play the hell out of it on Sunday

Me and my brother will play SE. Go online at least once to see how well it does with lag, afterwards I'd wait until I had everything unlocked to go back on.

The very first thing will be a match between me and my brother. I'm Fox and he's Samus. After a couple of rounds in different stages, with and without items, I'll start unlocking things. Later I'll give it a go online. Then I will check Smashboards for online tournaments. Then I'll practice, practice, practice.

First, I would train myself in Training mode, then go to VS mode to beat some CPUs 1-highest difficulty, and then finally go to single player for Subspace or another mode in single player.
