Oh I read that somewhere on smash boards, if I find the interview, I'll post it. Or, I could find it on SmashBoards, I can post that too. I can't find an interview, so maybe it doesn't exist. I'll still search for it though.
I have a feeling that it might be something like Tourney but I''m kind of thinking of other things atm but idk what Sakurai is ever thinking o.o

You know what the 3DS scene needs? 3D. The 3DS really needs more people to understand the advantages of using it competitively.

yep and I even saw a article of a person saying that people who get the 3DS version "won't play it serious or competitively" it was so stupid hearing him even say that.

I hate that. Assuming everyone who gets it will get it for one reason.

I'm getting for all reasons:

-to play competitively
-have on the go so just incase I get bored playing Pokemon,Zelda,Mario etc
-All my friends have 3DS so we can play online and locally
-nice to try out a portable smash and not on the TV like always
-create the stage I wanted to create so I wouldn't forgot how I wanted to make it while were out
and so on but I don't need to explain anymore.

I pray competitive scene hits the 3DS too. I think it ultimately is up to the area you live in that already has the competitive smashers to brake that soon to be stereotype. Its already hard enough to convince some casual and non smashers that Smash in general takes alot of skill.

So, I give this a good hearty bump!

Any other ideas from people? I know I'm a bit curious on the kind of rulesets 3DS fans prefer.

1.) Reliable wifi.

2.) Inclusion at tournies as either a side event or a sister/brother event.

3.) Pray lag isn't bad.

It should just stay the regular rule set tourneys use for project m and melee. Unless this game happens to be another brawl, if so than stick with that rule set.

That'll be somewhat difficult considering we'll have different characters and stages and all, who knows what might be the correct way to go till it's out?

The characters are static between the versions. Its the stages that change.

Some stuff for characters is, but there are random things in the past like chain grabs or certain infinites that end up new the the game that we may need rules for. That or character glitches.
I misunderstood the statement. My bad!

We're gonna have to wait and see when the game comes out. I'm sure the new competitive rule set will kick in once everyone gets their feet wet.

This what the 3ds smash needs. I know ill be playing the 3ds version of the game alot more than the wii U Version. So im glad there will be alot of people actually wanting to take the 3ds version seriously. Im pretty sure sakurai will make the 3ds version close and maybe the same as the wii U version (engine) Really looking foward to see how the tournaments are going to be held!:sonic:

It's true, people being invested in the 3DS version is definitely the number 1 thing we need, no one playing would be an issue :p
