I'm just going through my Youtube favorites and I'm starting to remember things that I listened to frequently enough or listened to at a significant part of my year that when I listen/view them, I'm reminded of it.

For example, last year (first year of college) gets reminded by:

The period sometime within the past year or two where I got back into Runescape briefly: http://youtu.be/1EKTw50Uf8M

Junior Year of high school is reminded by Pirates of the Caribbean films
PotC music specifically: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eN5ExwsXUiQ

Just some of the things I've remembered. It's usually pretty interested reminiscing on this kind of stuff.

If I go back as far as preschool, Eiffel 65, Pokemon and Power Rangers is something I remember very well about preschool. Pokemon and Kingdom hearts was a big part of Elementary for me. Homestar Runner, Neopets and Postopia are also things that comes to mind when I think of elementary school. Going crazy is basically the only thing that reminds me of Jr High.

Seriously I will take the dialup, the downgrades on everything and warp back to those years if I could.

Just one more go around.

That's all I need really.

Just one more time. ;__;

Halo 2, World of Warcraft, going out to movies every other weekend. Finding music on the internet when YouTube was just a baby. Little things like that bring back memories of high school.

Freshman year: having one friend who I kind of hated. Being unhealthily obsessed with Tenacious D. Discovered Radiohead through Tenacious D and it changed my life.

Sophomore Year: Discovered The Pixies and changed my life more. Also got strangely obsessed with Smashing Pumpkins. Had two friends and I hated them both. Was really depressed at this point.

Junior Year: This is when I started making a lot of friends, going out and partying and doing a ton of drinking, drugs and general debauchery. Lost my virginity in a weird retro 50s kitsch bedroom in front of other people o.O. I finally understood heavy/metal/hardcore music and fell in love. I discovered HORSE the band who remains my very favorite band to this day. Skipped a ridiculous amount of school classes to smoke weed and play Twilight Princess and watch Youtube.

Senior Year- Went to a ton of amazing concerts and shows. Daft Punk's Alive concert, HORSE the band two times, Between the Buried and Me peforming all of their Colors album without a stop, Iwrestledabearonce's EP release show way back before they became famous. Saw the movie There Will Be Blood which had a tremendous affect on me and my artistic sensibilities. Skipped even more classes and slept through most others.

Early elementary was about taking pokemon cards to school, making them infamous to the point of having them being banned from being inside, and all of the students now sneaking them in (resulting one time a friend and me losing a lot of our pokemon cards resulting in tears until we got them back). Also I remember somewhere in that period loving Beyblades and setting up hidden battles in the corner of the classroom because they were not allowed either. One time a Beyblade got hit so hard it slung across the classroom LOL. Such silly memories... yet so special at the same time.

Latter end of elementary was when our social state started evolving, being bad and stuff was cool and legitimate bullying became a real thing. This lead to me trying to be like that for a while to an extent, betraying my fellow nerd friends for people I fit in even less with. I remember one kid who I picked on a bit (who got picked on by most everybody) ended up not waking up one morning, dead, and the school being devastated for a while. That was kind of messed up.

Elementary School: (1993-1999) SNES games such as Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and several other classics. Tech Decks, Giga Pets, Yo-Yo's in 1998-1999, Watching the Chicago Bulls dominate in the NBA, Watching classic Simpsons.

Middle School: (1999-2002) Metal Gear Solid, Basketball and baseball rec leagues, watching Detroit Piston games on t.v., Laser Challenge.

High School: (2002-2006) Ran Cross Country and Track, watched football, went bowling a lot, played a ton of Melee with friends. Got my favorite cd of all time, which is 14 Shades of Grey by Staind.

Good times overall. It feels wierd getting more and more away from the 1990's as I age.
