Would it run on the same type of battery that GSC had?

I have a copy of Crystal, but when I save and turn off the game, my file auto-deletes and I'm stuck starting over every time. I'd like to know how to fix whatever is going on.

- This is Zero_Gamer btw.

@Twitch: My time-based events don't happen either, but that's because I ran mine through the washing machine once

Are you sure it's the battery?

"As with all Pokémon games, Ruby and Sapphire have a fair amount of glitches. One of these is the infamous berry glitch, which made most time based events, such as berry growing, impossible after the game had been owned for a year, or played for over 100 hours."
