As the title says, what title splash cards would you think work for characters from past games, minus the 3DS and Wii U one? I mean from 64 to Brawl. It could be anyone from those games, like Mario from 64 to Mr. Game and Watch from Melee. Some examples are...

Mario Jumps Into The Fray!

Sonic Runs Them Over!

Link Masters The Fight!

Ice Climbers Hammer Their Way In!

Donkey Kong Punches His Way Through!

Meta Knight Slashes Into Battle!

Falco Drops In From Above!

Bowser Burns The Competition!

Captain Falcon Punches Them Away!

Snake Sneaks Into The Fight!

This can even be for characters that returned from Melee and Brawl to 3DS/Wii U as DLC, namely Mewtwo, Roy and Lucas. So, what title splash cards do you think would work for characters from previous games?

If you have to use the phrases "into battle" or "the competition" or "the fight" at the end of your tag line, it's a bad one. A good tag line is concise and subtle. "King K Rool Comes Aboard", "Duck Hunt Takes Aim", and "Villager Comes to Town" are all great examples of this--taking a phrase that normally doesn't relate to battling and using it without adding in something else to make it more obvious. "Duck Hunt Takes Aim at the Competition!" is probably what we would have gotten if a fan had been in charge of that trailer. Sorry, I fancy myself a writer so these things can really get under my skin. Anyway, let's see...

"Captain Falcon Punches In"
"Diddy Kong Goes Bananas"
"Inkling Paints the Town"
"Olimar Gives the Order"
"Mega Man Gets Equipped" (yeah, idk why he didn't get his own tagline in the first place)
"Ice Climbers Ascend"
"Mr Game & Watch Makes a Judgment" (a little long--I'm iffy on this one)
"Wario Lands!" (this one would make more sense if he was based more on his WL incarnation)
"ROB Reboots"
"Rayman/Spring Man/Isaac Lends a Hand"
"Funky Kong Hangs Ten"

Admittedly it's hard to come up with good taglines for every single fighter, so I can forgive the occasional "Clowns the Competition" or "Storms into Battle" as not every character can have a really clean-sounding tagline. I tried for twenty minutes to think of one for Dixie Kong that wasn't just "goes bananas" and I just couldn't do it.

These are really nice but didn't Captain just stole Little Mac's tagline?:p

Ha, I totally forgot about Little Mac! Good catch, although I might have just recalled it subconsciously.
