If it's not customizable, it's something we will always have to deal with, though. And this is something that is hard to ignore. I think some complaining might be in order in this case!

On the other hand, you can even customize the frequency of randomized music titles.
Good old Sakurai will probably give us an option to turn them off.

Or maybe they are not in the actual game at all and they're just there for the newbies who never played the game and can't associate the icons with the respective characters yet.

Because, honestly, those icons are incredibly ugly. They make the whole thing look like some n00bish Gamemaker platformer thing where every piece of artwork was grabbed from random pictures found on Google.

If I select Mario, then while I'm playing I need to be reminded IN THREE WAYS that I am playing mario!

Those things got kind of annoying sometimes in Melee as is, so, they decided to make them BIGGER! What the crap, here's to hope that you can turn them down to regular form.

I know there's nothing I can do, but whatever, it still is annoying.

The icons are cool, but make them translucent! I mean, yes, thanks for telling me I'm Link, because ya know, the Triforce and the knowledge that I picked Link myself isn't enough to tell me I'm Link.

But if they were translucent(there, but see-through), that would be perfect.

I think that they look pretty cool, but do agree that they could get in the way like they did in Melee. I'm hoping that they'll fix the zoom calibration so that they never cover up your characters. I would always get killed in Hyrule Temple underneath in that high % haven when two other people were fighting up top in a 4P match.
I'm sure they'll fix things, Sakurai is smart. So stop complaining!
