The Mano Games VII
Smash Journeyman
One of my all time favorite NES games is Ninja Gaiden which is hard, fun, and has a great storyline. So now I'm looking for a similar game on the SNES. Anyone know of any?

Best game on the SNES.Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
Agreed ... Diddy Kong Country 2 IS the BEST game on Snes .. no questions..Best game on the SNES.
Edit: Oh yes, and a thought occurs: While it's not terribly hard, get Kirby Superstar. Kirby's Funpack if you're in PAL territory. It's pretty cool.
Donkey Kong Country 2 is awsome. It's for sure the hardest of the 3 Donkey Kong games on SNES. So many classic levels like Toxic Tower, Screech's Sprint, Rambi Rumble, Animal Antics and several more.Agreed ... Diddy Kong Country 2 IS the BEST game on Snes .. no questions..
yeah i think super metriod is one of the best. my SM could not save so it took me 2 years to beat it lol. now i have it on VC.Super Metroid.
I can't believe this hasn't been suggested yet.
Seriously, best game on the SNES in my opinion. Even not in my opinion, it is widely regarded as one of the best games on SNES and of all time. And if you get into speed running, there's a whole assortment of other things you can do in the game. Without it, though, it's still an awesome and challenging game.
LttP = Greatest SNES game ever.My 5 favorite Snes games(NO order)
Super Metroid
Star Fox
Link to the past
Mega Man X
Super Mario RPG(Cant believe no one said this yet)
I played a few of them once (rented the localized one for the SNES and played the Ganbare Goemon 2 & 3 games on a emulator). They are solid. :bigthumbu It's a shame that we didn't get much of the games in the series, thanks to Nintendo's initial silly content restrictions...anyone ever play the goemon games for snes? Only one was actually translated, but the gameplay was top notch each. Who doesn't love giant robot fights?
That would be an RPG >_>Supuh Mario R-P-G!!
