Yeah. With any luck they'll take out the option to turn off items. :chuckle:

Snake's infinite ammo bandanna. Maybe a tower shield or something that you can hold and auto-block front attacks, or fling for massive damage. George Foreman Grill. Oh yeah.

I dont think that the cloaking device is any good. Because if you didnt choose to play under your name before you started, it would totally screw you up. AND besides, the Computer Players can still see you. So they should either fix the Computer Players, or just take out the cloaking device completely.

And I think the power of the home-run bat is too powerful....Even if your health is 0% it can still send you flying into a KO.
The cloaking device stops you from taking damage, so even if someone combos the hell out of you while you are cloaked, your damage won't go up.

The homerun bat has awful startup and cool down lag, if you were stupid enough to get hit by the smash attack you deserve to die.

Items are awsome! I don't use them most the time, but that add more luck and skill elements to the game. If you don't like them, just turn them off.

Also they need a item like the cloaking device (preferably the Invisible Cap), but doesn't make you invincible. Also if you can see yourself online and AI can't see you, that could add new elements to invisible tactis (against AI only it would also help if you could see yourself as well as online).

Lol getting hit by the home run-bat=you made a mistake. Red is right in saying if you get hit by that you deserve to die. If you are hit with the home run-bat, you simply either made a error, or were hit into it and had bad luck. It adds a certain strategy to the game (plus cool a cool new killing device to your arsenal).

The trophies as throwable items=awsome, esepcially the ones you collected. Also they should be stages (chooseable, not jsut dang event matches!). Other neat items would be Link's bombs, time bomb, a gernade, smoke gernades (especially online if only the thrower can see it), and a gernade or rocket launcher!

Can I get a big 'Hell Yah'? I 100% agree with you on that.

If your a person who hates items turn them off.

Anyway get the bumber back in and get rid of the flipper and cloaking device unless they can make it better.

Here are some items I want in:

Wrap Whistle (Super Mario Bros. 3)- If somone gets it they would play a tune and everyone gets warpped by a tornado to a random stage.

Megaton Hammer (Legend of Zelda OoT)- This be a weapon with huge damage portions but charge smash takes a while to do.

Rare Candy (Pokemon)- this would increase person stats by 3-5% extra damage. the effects wear off after after person is Ko'd. The max for one person 2 rare candies.

Ring (Sonic the Hedgehog)- While holding the character cannot recieve any knock back, but as soon as he/she is damaged hard they will drop the ring.

ex. a A combo or strong attack= Ring
a charged smash attack, a strong B attack, aerial attacks, or hit by an item = No Ring

That's all I got for now.

Cut those invincibility items like the starman and the cloaking device.

Add tracking devices so that you can call up support like Samus's gunship or the non playable characters of the strafox team

Got to agree with the no items thing... cept for the bumper just for the madness when you have non-competitive smashers...

And lol at how items add skill to a game... whoever said that above me is ********

Hey now, calm down...items, in a way, can be used skillfully. For example, you may have a strategy that imploys the use of a green shell or fan or wtf ever. Although, they do not reflect the skills of a true smash master (i am totally wingin' this, lol). I'm saying, that items can't be used for any great strategies, but you can base some sort of gameplay off of them.

When used well items are excellant mindgames. Throwing a item straight up and getting your opponent to go under it is a classic(for me, nobody else has caught on) mindgame where I play.

I now just thought of the Hover Boots from Oot. You would put them on and then after you do your double jump you can hold the jump button and accend a little bit more in the air.

That is a solution to the topic of 'infinite jumps' sum1 mentioned earlier...it's a nice comprimise...& Aminar has just listed a strategy for using items, KevinM. Strategies are skills, in a way (not trying to make a big argument, lol).

Really! Wow I'm good. The reason it popped up is because I was playing OoT this moring And got a pair of Iron Boots and was wondering when I was getting the hover boots.

Mario Sunshines water blaster (high jumps, blasters while on ground)
Luigis Mansion vacuum (excellent grab and throw)

These get my vote

So what do you guys think about the new smash 'emlem' thing? You know, the thing that Mario grabs in the trailor, and then he starts shooting fire al across screen, and Link suspends Mario within 2 triforces and beats the sh*t out of him...you guys think thats cool?

What do you think the othre character's will be, like DK's?

In my opinion on items, the bumper needs to come back and replace the flipper in the next item list. I also really didn't like the cloaking device because it favored the computers and they'd run like b****** to it whenever it came out. One thing that also bothered me is the fact that you can't have a barrel cannon fight on a small stage.

The barrel cannon needs to become less rare, end of story lol. It would barely ever appear, even when it's the only item turned on, and and the items are on very high. :(

I think oocoo should be included. Maybe not as an item, but a prop for some zelda levels...

Oocoo would be hiding in a jar, or waddling around, and when you find her, you are teleported to oocoo jr. somewhere else in the level. The teleportation works both ways.

-OR-

They are both in the same place. When you reach them, if you pick one up, ooccoo jr. turns you into a blue dot (about the size of kirby). You control the blue dot, and move it where you wanna teleport. You've got around 10 seconds before it automatically teleports to wherever you have the blue dot. And that is where you end up. Then, oocoo jr. stays there, and the next person who picks up oocoo jr. will automatically be teleported to ooccoo. Ooccoo herself does nothing. So, whaddya think??!

Does anyone else get the feeling Sakurai or his representatives are reading this forum? Someone earlier said they would love to see the banana peel as an item, and almost everyone was screaming to replace the flipper with the bumper. Or am I just paranoid? :urg:
