Project M, son. I think S4 is a contender... I try not to think about it, as I've yet to buy a Wii U. And Smash is going to make me. Damn you...

Well, imo Melee had the best roster. Mewtwo, Roy, Pichu, Young Link (who is technically Toon Link in the modern games). SSB4 is going to have the best roster, I agree. If they add back Mewtwo along with the characters listed below, I'm happyMelee had the worst roster. Brawl and ssb4 have the best roster
You should try 64 and Melee if you ever get the chance to. They're more dated and have less content, but they're an experience.Brawl, hands down. Never played 64, never played Melee, and Project: M doesn't work for me for some reason.
Trust me, I want to. Thing is though, I never had a GameCube, and none of my friends are interested in anything Nintendo related. It's all...Xbox...and...Fifa, and GTA.You should try 64 and Melee if you ever get the chance to. They're more dated and have less content, but they're an experience.
If you have your Wii, Smash 64 is on the virtual console. And if you can find a copy of Melee, you don't need a gamecube for the same reason. Though you'd have more luck with the former than the latter nowadays I'd imagine.Trust me, I want to. Sad thing is, I had a Nintendo 64, but we never had SSB64.
E3 might reveal GCN games on Virtual Console. God knows if it's true, Melee will be one of the first games on there.Trust me, I want to. Thing is though, I never had a GameCube, and none of my friends are interested in anything Nintendo related. It's all...Xbox...and...Fifa, and GTA.

Eh, I think we'll see a 64 Virtual Console first, doesn't make much sense to jump right over it. I wouldn't count on seeing Melee there either, Smash 64 was never on the Wii Virtual Console.E3 might reveal GCN games on Virtual Console. Smash 64 was on the Wii Virtual Console though. In fact, it is still there.Eh, I think we'll see a 64 Virtual Console first, doesn't make much sense to jump right over it. I wouldn't count on seeing Melee there either, Smash 64 was never on the Wii Virtual Console.
Huh? Well, I was mistaken then. Never had access to the internet on the Wii, but I thought I had heard that it wasn't on there. Seems like I mistook it for Pokémon Stadium or something.Smash 64 was on the Wii Virtual Console though. In fact, it is still there.
The online capabilities were disappointing in Brawl. It felt almost as if they simply stitched it together in a day.Brawl, and it isn't even close. One word: Online.
Melee and 64 were fun with friends, but dominating everyone you know actually does get boring. I like being able to play against other people who are far and above the best of their respective friend groups, which is basically what everyone here is. Melee and 64 are only played by me nowadays when I'm pre-gaming before going out with friends
The online is passable if you don't have a damn third world country connection. The online capabilities were disappointing in Brawl. It felt almost as if they simply stitched it together in a day.
Melee and 64 actually can be played online, given that you have a ROM and an emulator.
