This is a different kind of thread where someone posts a what-if scenario and your response has to describe what would happen in that scenario. For example:
  • Q: What if Melee had another year of development?
  • A: Then Snake and Sonic would’ve joined the roster
Now then, let’s get started.

What if Nintendo bought Rare back in 2002 instead of Microsoft?

Then Rare would've kept working on Donkey Kong, depriving us of Jungle Beat or the legendary Donkey Konga games. We still would've gotten Nuts & Bolts though. However, Banjo would've been part of the roster since Brawl.

What if Miyamoto had never made Donkey Kong?

Then Mario was created first and that Super Mario Bros. could be made for Arcade and NES

What if Dreamcast is selled very well and Sega continue making consoles?

Sonic would not appear on Nintendo consoles.

His move set would be based on the Land games.

What if Pit appeared as a fighter in Smash 64?

Pit would be more true to his original NES game. But that could mean no Uprising in this world.

What if Xenoblade 2 was Xenoblade 1, and Xenoblade 1 was Xenoblade 2?

Then I imagine the former would be a Japan-only GameCube game, and the latter would still release on Wii and be localized with British voice acting in all English-speaking regions.

What if Charizard was solo in Brawl and every Smash game afterwards?

Snake and Sonic would become playable earlier.

What if the Super Smash Bros. series was made by SEGA?

What if the Super Smash Bros. series was made by SEGA?
...I'll hazard saying that rather than Smash, it ends up being Fighters Megamix that's expanded, with a sequel released midway through the life of the Dreamcast - focusing primarily on combining elements from Virtua Fighter 3 and Fighting Vipers 2, but also featuring a couple of returning fighters like Janet from Virtua Cop 2 and Taro from Rent-a-Hero, alongside newcomers like Bruno Delinger from Dynamite Deka and Fei-Yen from Virtual-On. As for whether it continues after SEGA's exit from the hardware market is up to you.

What if Nintendo's licensing agreements for the Famicom and NES were forced due to anti-monopoly laws to allow developers to publish on non-Nintendo platforms?

Then we’d probably get more variety in licensed games.

What if Disney never bought Marvel or LucasFilm, but the MCU was still a mega-success and the Star Wars sequel trilogy was created under George Lucas?

Marvel would be doing good making its films independent of larger studios but wouldn't be able to expand its film rights much as Fox wouldn't be bought. George Lucas never has the story meeting with Disney and goes for his Sequel draft involving Darth Maul and Talon as the villains. The original trilogy isn't made irrelevant but people are mixed on the exploration of Whills.

What if Yuji Naka worked at Nintendo after Sega?

He’d probably still get arrested for insider trading, but at least Nintendo would enforce better quality control over Balan Wonderworld.

What if Toei were the ones to come up with the idea of an American TV show that splices Super Sentai footage into original plots, and collaborated with the Jim Henson Creature Shop to create Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers in 1993?

The Japanese and American versions would probably be different and their seasons would be original instead of reused from the Japanese one, I don't think they would reuse the Japanese ones if they could make originals and make much more profit from it.

Then his primary design would be that originally unused one that was a costume in Superstars.

What if, in the Pokémon anime; Tobias was never created, Ash wins the Sinnoh League and is retired from the anime at that point, and from every region onward, the main protagonist of the anime is one of the player characters from the games?

It wont be that easy. In your scenario as the winner of the Sinnoh league he would be allowed to challenge Aaron Bertha Flint and Lucien of the Sinnoh E4. And not forget the Queen herself Cynthia. And i dont think that Ash in that moment would have a Chance against Cynthia. He had a hard time against Flint in Sunyshore. And he saw what Cynthia did to Paul Way back in their Full Battle.

People would still complain, but at least we’d get Pneuma.

Then they’d probably go for Zael from Last Story instead

What if Mario Kart Tour never existed but Nintendo still did a Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
The format of the Booster Course Pass could possibly remain similar, but the content of the DLC overall would be significantly reduced, due to a lack of assets to pull from - though, this would be offset by a shared focus on both returning and new tracks, and a small number of racers would still be added.

It would be a better way to end the Fighter Pass.

What if the Sonic movies were fully animated?
