Stage List
- Battlefield
- Dreamland 64
- Final Destination
- Fountain of Dreams
- Yoshi's Story

- Stock: 4
- Time Limit: 6 minutes
- Items: off

1. For deciding the first stage of the set, players will strike stages in a 1221 order so that 1 stage remains. Then play game 1
2. After a game finishes, the loser of the previous game announces the next stage to play on
3. Then the winner of the previous game may change characters
4. Then the loser of the previous game may change characters. Play the next game
5. Repeat steps 2-4 until a winner is decided

- If there is a tie at the end of the time limit, the person with more stocks wins. If both players have the same amount of stocks, the person with the lower percent of damage wins
- DSR (Dave's Stupid Rule): No player may select a stage he has already won on in the set

- The player choice clause: If both players agree to a rule outside of this ruleset, feel free to play by that. If one player wants to counterpick Mute City and the other player is fine with that because they think it's a fair stage, then that is more than fine. However in the event the two players disagree, house rules stand.
I'll read anyone's opinion

Uh, looks pretty much the same except you didn't include counterpick stages.
Also 6 minute time limit? That will just promote more camping and timing other people out. I know a lot of matches that have gone past the 6 minute mark when both players were actually fighting and not running away/spamming.

Not another one of these threads... didn't Hax already post a thread that he wanted CPs off? Anyway, I'll post my opinion for the record. There is no problem with the current ruleset. Even some neutrals have severe disadvantages for certain matchups like FD being a chain grab fest with no escape. Changing the current stage selection is not going to change tournament results or placing at all. The rules are pretty balanced the way things are. If you hate a stage, ban it, no johns.

You should put some restrictions on what players can agree to. My opponent and I may just agree to a best of 29 games, 5 stocks, 10 minute timer.

No reason to ban Stadium. The only reason it's not a neutral is because you need an even number for the stage strike. Put it in for games 2/3 and give the loser the extra strike.
