What do YOU do while you wait for JAPAN TIME?

I know there are a lot of crazy people on these boards (myself included) who regularly stay up until 3:00am (est), or later to wait for JAPAN TIME. Well, that's a lot of time to kill from daylight until update.

Or are you the type of person who sleeps through JAPAN TIME and then checks it as soon as you wake up?

I'm just curious what everyone does until Sakurai gives us an update.

heh, im a lil of both. I'll hang out on the smash IRC a while at night. If I make it to JT, then I check out the update, but most nights I just check it in the morning. On fridays I like to wait, because otherwise it feels like 3 days until you get an update.

Some days i stay up, others I check in the morning. It depends on whether or not i have to wake up early the next day. And I just talk on AIM with others who are waiting for the update and post on here when i do stay up.

Well, when I have to go to school. I usually check in the morning, or when I wake up to get a glass of juice in the middle of the night, I'll check, since the computer is near the kitchen.

Nick @ Nite's been showing a Fresh Prince marathon the whole night this week, and since I'm outta school, I'll usually have that on in the background and be in the Smash IRC... talkin' about Fresh Prince.

So, I'm a combination of the two + plus.

I wait for JAPAN TIME everyday, and like a lot of other people, I'm always in the Smash IRC chat. Pretty good discussions usually take place beforehand, plus the SSBM trivia bot rules. :D

I sleep. First thing i do is check the update in the morning. Read smashboards for about fifteen minutes, get ready for school. Come home check smashbrawl and other daily sites. Hang out for the rest of the day and repeat.

for the past couple weeks ive been stayin up for the updates and i usally just browse the web watch a movie and check up on smash boards, but in about 5 days I wont be able to any more cuz of school (blah)

For the ones that sleep through the update, including me, should try this.

Ok all you need is a piece of paper. Before the update loads hold the piece of paper up to the computer screen to cover it. Leave the side menu bar visible. Click on the bar that you think the update is. You may think it sounds weird but I enjoy it. At least try it monday.

Well here in the UK, it updates at 8am. If it's 3 hours late, then it updates at 11am (duh).

I wake up for school at 8am.

So the updates are always right on time for me

Wow, I'm surprised to see that so many people stay up for JAPAN TIME. That's pretty sweet.

Still, if you guys actually stay up, you definitely should hit up the Smash Chat. I can't recommend it enough. It's going on right now (and always) with a lot of active members. (Can you tell I love chatting with Smashers? )

The fact that I stay up until 3 really affects my schedule, especially on weekends when I don't need to stay up that late. Like, right now, I'd love to get to sleep, but thanks to Sakurai, it ain't happenin'. =P

I start college up again next week, so I won't be able to stay up for JAPAN TIME anymore. I guess I'll have to start using different techniques.

here on the west coast its only midnight when the update comes so I'll wait for the update most of the time, otherwise I'd just check in the morning. to answer you question, I've been consistently on these boards while I wait.

it's pretty easy for me. It is 9 AM (GMT +1) when the update comes, right when I wake up ^^
it's one of the first things I do on a day.

Usually I don't get off of work until midnight so when I get home it is nearly one in the morning and the update hits here around 3am. Before that time I get ready to post a topic about the newxt update, play the piano, turn on my RSS feed programs and wait it out.

Since I live in the GMT zone, I get it at 8am.

Which is kinda crap, since I have to usualy leave for school at half seven. So there's n way of knowing if the update is Isaac, or a bullet bill, until I get home at half four.

I need a way of viewing the place at lunchtimes in school, but my school has a proxy server running...
