Which controller do you play on using to play with Brawl?

-Wiimote
-Wiimote+Nunchuck
-Gamecube controller
-Classic controller

I plan on using a classic controller, which I bought during the time I went to reserve the game.

You know, I've been fully planning on the use of Gamecube controllers as it's what I know and love. But with the acquisition of a new flat-screen TV, I find that being tethered that close to the screen kind of sucks, and I only have one Wavebird.

I might have to give some other control methods a go for sake of wireless activity, I just have a feeling they'll all suck compared to Gamecube control.

Well, the classic controller is connected to the wiimote.. Which is connected by 1 wire. So I won't be bound to the system.

Also I own a wireless gamecube controller (in the event I do not like the Classic controller.)

GameCube Controller at first, but I do plan on getting a Classic Controller for this.

PS: I might have to get another GCN Controller since the C stick doesn't really work on the other one I have.

I'm thinking classic controller, but im uncertain If I require a wii mote to use them. From the descriptions on sites it seems you have to plug the classic controller into the wii mote to play, can't you plug them into the wii directly if you dont mind the distance limit? It would suck to have to get double set of controllers just to get a classic controller for four people.

Nope, you need to plug the Classic Controller into the remote. Even if you could plug it into the Wii you would have to sit so close to it that you probably wouldn't be able to see the TV.. it has a short cable.

I'll probably try out Gamecube and CC controls, then decide which I like best. Anyone else playing with me will have to decide which they prefer out of whatever is left.

Just posted this in another topic, but since it took me 5 minutes to make..

The classic controller isn't TOO small, as some people say it is. It gives you a quick, sleek feel. I can't wait to use mine for brawl. Right now I have no use for it (other than castle vania 2 on my virual console)

I have no clue
I've read that the classic controller sucks, which kept me debating whether I should get one or not. But I want one for my virtual console games. I'll probably just use the Gamecube controller, since I'm natural with that. The Wii controller may feel awkward, like the shield button being the B, which is hard to press and concentrate on in the middle of a heated battle. (for me anyways) I'd probably end up pressing it a lot by accident lol.

Most likely the Gamecube controller, but I'm also going to try out the Wiimote. Since we can swap controls and make it how we want it, I've been coming up with ideas on how it can do me some justice.

I'll be using gamecube controllers at first, but I may switch to the wiimote after I get a feel for it.
I don't think you can use the wiimote on most virtual console games. it only accepts GC controller or classic controller

however, every single game on Virtual console will accept classic controller, but Not GC controller. Theres maybe 10 games that won't accept GC controllers.

I would probably use the wiimote+nunchucks to mess around, but if I planned to play online with them I would need more competitive controls.

I plan on using the remote-nunchuk combo. I don't have any wavebird controllers, and I don't feel like having to sit that close to my wii, so that's why I'll be using the combo. As long as I have access to my attack button (A), special move button (B), jump button (C), and shield/air dodge button (Z) at the same time, I'll be perfectly fine.

I'm truly partial to the Gamecube Controller, so my guess is that I will, in the end, choose the comfortable item.

However, due to the paucity of Gamecube controllers at the moment, you never know. It's very difficult to find them: online is the best bet.

Of course with the ability to customize control settings, the Classic Controller will likely be fun to use too, but probably not for competitive play.

I'll probably use the gamecube controller, but I will definitely test them all out and see which one I like the best. I can't really make a definitive decision since I have yet to play the game or get a feel for each controller while playing Brawl.

Probably Gamecube controller. I like how it is, and I don't need to have a supply of batteries.

when i get the game, the first thing i will do is i will play 4 vs. battles (three with me vs. a comp, and 1 aganist my bro). in those four games i will use each of the controllers to see which one i like the best. i will deff use my wavebird, but i really am interested in using the wiimote + nunchuck combo the most.

I like the wiimote and nunchuck option, I like having more options for my left hand personally. As far as the feel goes, we'll have to see, I'll probably wind up using the classic controller.
