the best argument i've seen between here and smogon is this:

every pokemon has a hard counter to its main sets (like SD lucario being walled to hell by gyarados and zapdos) while salamence does not

That will be true for pretty much any dragon though since Dragon only has 1 resist and EVERY dragon learns Fire Move/Ground Move.

Hell, the same is true for DDNite.
