Weather Changes Mode

I just had a great idea. A mode that will make the game much more realistic.
I give you...

Weather Changes Mode

If you play with this mode, the game will see what the weather is like using the Wii's Weather Channel. Then you will start a game in Battlefield (you can't change stage) and the weather will affect the battle!
I'll explain the different weathers:

Sunny

If its sunny then after a small amount of time if battling, the characters start sweating! You will see the little drops of sweat fly off the characters when they are hit. Also, if you touch the sun, you get hurt!

Cloudy

If its cloudy then clouds will float by the stage from left to right or viceversa. The clouds can be used as platforms! You can stand on them, and they will slowly take you away! Which is why you shoudn't stay on them for too long. You can also Meteor Smash right through the clouds or spike enemies through them.

Rainy

This isn't hard storm rain, just soft rain. The characters clothes will get wet and the rain makes puddles that work like banana peels. An occasional cloud will pass too.

Stormy

The storm is definetely the craziest type of battle.
There will be hard rain which means lots of puddles to slip on.
Also the thunder....if it gets you, instant 40% damage and you get shot off stage! If your damage meter is low then you might not lose a life.
And the thunder slightly shakes Battlefield!

Snowy

This works just like the winter snow of Yoshi's island.

Wind

Separately from the weather, the wind counts too! The game sees from what direction it comes and how strong it is.
But if the wind comes from South (so from below in game) then your jumps will be higher!

Well what do you think of this idea?:)

Yea, I just suggested that last week in the 10 oddball wishes thread =P
Like how you developed it though, but why a single stage? All the stages change the background through the clock thing, so I don't see why this should be limited to a single stage/mode.

I'll explain why only one stage. Take for example Yoshi's island. Its winter and it snows there right? But what if it was sunny in your weather channel?

Oh yeah and I suggested that in the 10 oddball predictions thread =P

If it was a stage that did this, then what game would it come from?
Well I guess all stages don't have to come from other games.

They could implement it on Smashville.

Nice idea, cant believe I didn't think of this myself.

Don't forget Nighttime/Afternoon/ Daytime, And morning for SOME stages. Obviously this would look at bad at halberd stage.

Good idea, just put in the time with the weather and you could have a perfect weather stage. More than one stage would be nice too.

Right behind you with a knife.
Sweaty Bowser? Do not want. o_o

Anyways, it can't really be done, since many places in Brawl wouldn't have weather to begin with. Why would it be raining in Norfair or Pictochat?

EDIT: Oh wait, Battlefield? Well then that wouldn't be a problem. Still, such a thing couldn't be done online. =/

It's a great idea, but I doubt they'd incorporate that into the game.
They would back away from that because it's too much for the system, or they didn't even have that idea.

Cool idea... i dont see why you want ti to be a mode when it can be a single stage... i would want the stage to go from night to day and sunny to snowy... sort of liek what ur saying mixed with the AC stage...

thunder doesn't strike things. lightning does.
According to one popular theory, lightning splits the air, and thunder is caused when the air comes back together. If you're really really unlucky, you could get hit by thunder.

It's a good idea, but I don't want it to depend on the Weather Channel. That way if you live in the midwest like me, you'll get completely random weather, but gamers in California will always get sunny weather, gamers in Seattle will always get rain, gamers down south will never see snow, etc. I'd rather just have one stage that has random weather effects that can even change over the course of one match.

random weather would be nice but I don't know if the wii could handle it very well you know the graphics and effects, thats the number one reason weather isn't in many games.

Nice idea, not sure how practical it would be on some stages but nice none the less.

Thanx guys!
If it should be for more stages then it can't be for all of them.
I just added in the first post that the sun in sunny weather should be Angry Sun! That would be cool! He swoops down occasionally.
How about an event in Events Mode where you must battle on the Lylat Cruise with an extra strong storm!

This exact thing happens on the Animal Crossing stage...
From what we've seen it appears to stay eternally summer and go from day to night.

That's kind of a shame.

We need this... Except it needs to have freezing rain as well.

This would make a cool mode, next to stamina mode and lightning melee (pun not intended)

[i really don't see the point of these threads. It's not like the designers are going to implement this into it at the last minute]
