I hated Shiek. Worst character in the game. No Shiek for Brawl.

i wouldnt say shiek is the worst character, shes way better than zelda haha. Also in my opinion she is way better than mewtwo and jigglypuff and pikachu, quite frankly all the pokemon suck

It was used by Zelda in two games - there's been far more than two Zelda games in the series. If you're going to claim that all Zeldas use the light arrows, I could claim that the Sheik transformation is also a recurring move.

light arrows are beginning to become associated with the 3-D Zelda, although It's usually Link who receives the arrows, a lot of Zelda fans now recognise them as Zelda's weapon of choice, thanks to Zelda being associated with them in all her 3-D Incarnations( presumebly Conjuring them in OOT , Using them in WW , and in TP)
So, Light arrows generally cover the 3-D Zelda's ( And Zelda in general) more than Sheik , who has been the counter-part of 1 Zelda.

Wow dude, you can't accept the fact that by your logic, Geno shouldn't be in Brawl either. He's even more outdated than Shiek, would be harder to put in because he's a newcomer AND he's third party, and your only reasoning is "He had a cameo once!!1!".

Yeah I want Geno, So? Prove to me how Geno will be in Brawl? or how I or you have any say in that? Or how because I am a "hypocrite", that makes my arguments less valid? It's irrelevant, that still doesn't justify Sheik, Geno actually does something in his game other than play a harp and throw a stupid deku nut, I have Geno in my sig, because I like the character, if he is in or not, is not for me to say, but apparently Nintendo gives more of a **** about Geno than Sheik, if I didn't have Geno in my sig you wouldn't have a point, because everything I said is true, Sheik is irrelevant, outdated and overrated, so is Geno, your point? if Geno and Mallow weren't second party characters they would probably be more exploited than they are, as most Mario characters are, Geno and Sheik are in completely different copyright situations, so comparing Sheik to Geno is pathetic and it proves you don't have a point... what are you gonna say now? "Oh but she was in melee and she's popular" I forgot how that made her unable to be cut.

I said it before and I will say it again.

TP Zelda transforming into a TP looking Shiek makes about as much sense as TP Zelda transforming into a TP looking Tetra.
At the end of the day she is still transforming into a character from a completely different time-line who she never actually transformed into.

"but Mario uses fludd". Well mario is mario is mario. Theres only one Mario in the whole wide Mario series same as there being one Fox/ Samus/ Falcon in there respective series. Makes sense for mario/ fox/ samus/ cf to be able to use anything from anyone of their games.

It's like saying " Zelda reps ALL Zeldas from the LoZ series . . .but OoT is the only one they could dare use to base her moves off of! Thats why the one transformation of hers should be Sheik even tho Sheik played a small role in one game compared to Tetra who has had important roles in 2 games!".

Lets apply this to Link. . . .would it make sense for Link to slap on the oni mask and transform into FD Link? What about becoming a kick as* bunny rabbit? Really. . .

"She is still using OoT item moves". Gifts from/ Connections to the goddesses is one thing all Zelda's share
Those things came from the gods so they are constants to the LoZ series seeing as the Gods are like Ganon to the series. . . .as in, the few things that stay the same and are never "reborn/ replaced/ pasted on to".

Thats my take on it. As fare as I can tell Sheik is like Ness. . . might be popular and been in smash with a unique move-set but is no longer relavent to the series they came from.

Well, frankly, I can't see a reason why sheik should return.

1)I mean, OoT is old, very old.

Well, frankly, they haven't had sequels to recent systems, (granted, there is a pit game coming to the Wii, but only after brawl.) so they don't have any more 'recent' versons of them.

Whereas Zelda has had 2 sequels, and she hasn't transformed into sheik in any of them, besides comparing two different characters is generally a flawed argument.

Popularaty might have a role to play, but is generally over-emphasized. Yes, sakuri wants it to be a great game, but he also wants to appeal to the New zelda fans as well as the older ones.

So? the moves a character has, has NOTHING to do with the issue of being in the game or not.
