Is it normal that each file is upwards of 300MB in size? That's ****ing giant. I'm not too familiar with the recording process, but I plan on using these for a combo video.

Just open it up in Windows Movie Maker, and save the movie as standard quality. The file size will decrease more than 3x

Quality will obviously be worse though.

My WMM doesn't even recognize MP4, that's the thing.

Your replays were averaging around six minutes.

~74 MB for a minute of video--there you have it.

Try installing the Cole2k codec pack and let me know if that works.

Erm... small dilemma (sorry for having so many problems.)

I downloaded the MP4, put it in WMM, published the movie, uploaded to YouTube. Nothing more. As you can see, there's a large green box covering half of the screen which is quite obviously in the way, lol.

Any idea why this happened?

i downloaded the files and saved them, but WMM is not listed to download onto and the the save file is invalid if i try to move it straight to WMM

Well, the first thing is, I don't prefer for people to transcode the videos again. They've already been through the ringer once, and subjecting them to more is cruel and unusual punishment. :crying:

Another thing, invest in an economy low budget editor. It's a lot better when all you have to do is string the clips together, and you can render them in the exact same output as I did.

I would recommend one of these two. Yes, they cost money, but they are the most affordable:

No, it wasn't YouTube, it happened through the WMM publishing process. It played like that on my PC. Does it have something to do with the screen size you recorded it in? Or something.

it saves as an MPG4, but isn't supported by WMM. It isn't listed on the codecs site...is there something else im supposed to be doing first? Or should i just download a standard pack?
