We need a new Ice Climbers guide.

No offense to Underdog, but the guide is pretty old and not as detailed as it could be. Ideally we need detailed matchups for all the major battles and counterpicks, as well as strategy details for different stages.

I'd make one myself, but I'm not sure how appreciated it would be by the community since I'm a pretty unknown player.

no one wants to take up a task of writing a big huge all-encompassing guide but i'm sure people are a lot more willing to share their thoughts on a specific topic (i.e. a specific matchup or stage) when you break it into such smaller chunks

Okay I've wrriten matchups for Fox, Falco, Sheik, and Marth. I can find very little info on Peach, however. Most people say to switch characters (and I agree). However, sometimes you may get counterpicked by a Peach and so this matchup is worth knowing.

If someone with knowledge of this matchup could send me some detailed information I'd appreciate it.

That would be most helpful. Also, if anyone knows much about the Link matchup that would be greatly appreciated. I don't intend to have every matchup completed upon posting the guide, but I would like at least the major matchups as well as trouble matchups.

Im sure it will be a general guide, commonly used desynchs damage of moves, potential uses of moves, some usefull mindgames (which will become less usefull by being posted in a guide cause then everyone gets to see em haha) and things like that Im sure, the character match up part is actually the most important though, if you are having trouble against a character I like to go into that characters board and ask how you beat yours most people will be like dont get hit by such and such move and its a nice way to figure out what to do.

I have trouble against marios because he seems to suffer from little hitstun so a lot of grab combos are hard to do, but I've figured out a good one that works at a wide range of percent:

D-throw

(guess DI here)

*DI up*- upsmash or up air

*DI to the right* dash attack to up-smash, tilt or air depending on damage.

and follow up with juggling if you can.
