We need a Brawl Samus combo vid.

Let's face it, the majority of us are depressed with this new Samus. I suggest the best players and the best combo vid makers collaborate to make an awesome Samus vid to not only boost the Samus community's morale, but also to show that Samus can actually be pretty deadly (Taj's Mewtwo vid did wonders).

I know Brawl is still a young game, but I've seen my fair share of awesome SSBB combo vids and many awesome Brawl Samus clips.

Granted, I'm not an extraordinary Samus player and I'm not a good combo vid maker, so I'm only throwing the idea out there >.>

The first combo vid of Samus in brawl on youtube I found were just a bunch of 'one hit combos'.... really disappointing.

I might come back to Samus some day just because she's just too cool in concept. For now, I'm going to be playing with my newfound jewel: Yoshi. The little bugger is actually a pretty darn good character, just vastly underrepresented.

Anyways, post on, peeps. I'd love to see some Samus action.

This is a great idea! I was going to make my own combo video soon, but if a bunch of good samus are interested in doing a colab one i would love to join in.

I dunno if you would consider my samus good enough to be in it but i think i actually have combo's and i have good footage, i have some vid's i just recently put up http://www.youtube.com/user/RenoSmash there's probably some good combo's in 3 or 4 or 5 or 6, check them out =)

undr and i are going through all of our april matches and pulling out 3 hit, or better, combos. we went through the 30, april 13th vids today and found 12. hopefully we'll finish reviewing the rest wednesday and throw something together. i like the idea of a combo vid with everyones combos in it.
although, recently i've noticed that everything i've done that might be considered a combo is escapable. since there are no real "combos", how loose a definition should we use for the vid? here are a few examples i'd like you to consider
hopefully we can agree that these first two come close to being true combos
example 1 at 2:59
example 2 at 2:53
but these two clearly are not combos, should we include them anyway?

Yes. The possibilities from a good read on an opponent's (poor) DI, while maybe not "true combos," are certainly something people would be interested in seeing. This is especially true now while Brawl is still new and it is not entirely unlikely an opponent would not be familiar with exactly how they should DI against Samus.

If you ask me, those last two were better combos because they were harder to pull off. You had to read his DI pretty well, especially for that last one. Hitting someone with the zair while they're off stage isn't really that easy if you suck at reading your opponent.

i think it is precisely because those last two "combos" required that i know which way undr was going that they're not good. after playing undr for as long as i have been, i can read when his mind is elsewhere. those were classic examples of undr thinking about something he recently discovered, likely during or just before that match. i'd only use "combos" like those in a vid if we didn't have enough footage of decent "combos".
i finished reviewing all of my 5/4 and 6/4 matches just before writing that last post. the only other matches are the ones we played yesterday and the matches of tomorrow. yesterday, i know that i got in a 3+ combo, of which i only have footage of two. hopefully i can be amazing tomorrow and pull something off. i expect that i'll have about 20 "combos", by the end of tomorrow, wrapped up in a short vid with a few repeats. thats not enough for me to make a decent combo vid, but it'll be something to contribute to this thread/project

My samus goes toe-to-toe with B-stick, EoW, Wobbles, Taj, Chaostheory, light etc..etc..

I really don't feel anything could be as epic as SC2 though, Gurren lagaan+SSB=omg(also my sister edited it ^_^)

Pit has so many unique characteristics and I get distracted... v_v But on occasion Jasona manages to pull off something interesting, and hopefully as time goes by these videos will include true combos that I'm unable to escape.

Im a beast with Samus, possibly one of the best out there right now (and no im not lying)

I guess ill have to hook up my VCR cuz im only getting a few matches with Samus below 3mins, majority of my matches that i have with Samus range from 2-5mins, depending on the stage, and the camping i have to potentially deal with and get past, but if i have the desire i will do it, if not lol ill put up regular vids
