DISCUSS THE STAGE BEFORE VOTING!

Ok everyone, here's a stage vote for Frigate Orpheon. Vote Starter, Counterpick, or Banned. Stages need a 2/3 (66%) majority to be primarily in that category. If the vote is split (such as 50% Starter 50% Counterpick) then the stage will be in the Starter/Counterpick section.

Notes about Frigate Orpheon

-On the starter transformation there is no ledge on the right side
-The stage flips which can kill players, however there is fair warning and a ton of safe zones

Poll Deadline: 5 days

Pretty clearly CP. Nothing too dumb or broken but definitely not neutral.

Counter Pick material. There isnt anything abusable other than easy edgehogs/capes and temp dtilt locks and the unlucky stage flip gimp.

I don't like the flipping shenanigans. If you can remove it then I'd say it's CP worthy.

This is one of my favorite CPs. In the many many many times I've played on it, I've only actually been killed by the star KO bug once. In regards to more common stage KOs: It gives such advance warning that you have ample time to react to the flip.

uh...it's not cuz i main fox. this has happened to me multiple times in brawl tournies (where I mained snake). Sometimes the "warning" doesnt help. Tournies are loud. If you forget to turn up the volume enough to blow out the speakers you wont hear it.

There's so many other viable stages in brawl+ due to alot of brawl$hit being taken care of, we don't need this one.

I was joking around. xD

This stage is better than other stages imo. :/

The level is pretty simple and the only true hazard is the stage flip and IIRC there are also visual cues to the stage flip so you could play the game completely silent and still tell that its going to flip.

lrn2payattention.

Didnt plenty of melee players pay attention to the clock when playing on Yoshi's Island in order to "call Randell"

Paying attention to your opponent and your surroundings is something that everyone should do in Smash. If you can tell a hazard is coming your way, you can use that to your advantage and manipulate your opponent into something really nasty.

Well, can you blame us? I've hardly ever seen you contribute unless it was directly related to your main.

Being lazy is not an argument.

The cloud doesn't kill you like the flipping does, and it's hard to "manipulate and force someone" into a flipping stage unless your mk or jiggs or w/e.

I was let into WBR because of my performance in tournaments. I pretty much only main Fox, and I usually only play in tournament. Wtf did you expect?

Being lazy is not an argument.
Being distracted =/= being lazy.

The votes are already cast and it's obvious what everyone else thinks. I don't see a point in you guys trying to argue with my opinion.

I actually agree with Yes!. We don't need mediocre stages in any more to fill up the stage select list. The star KO bug has happened to me a few time, the lack of a true edge on the vertically moving platform is a terrible design choice, and frankly there are just better CPs because of the hacks. On it's own I think it's an all right CP, but when against the whole cast I think it falls short.

Already addressed this, but apparently that's me being "lazy."

qtf.

Just because a stage is adequate, doesn't mean we need it. The other CPs are way better than this one.

There is no excuse to miss the stage flip. You have two very obvious cues and the amount of time you have to respond is ample. If the other player takes advantage of the situation, good for them. The stage is dynamic and interesting. Personally, I think that attentiveness is something a player should be rewarded for.

No Johns.

GoG is essentially stating that even though this is fine as a CP it isn't fine... enough. That is a matter of opinion (this stage is amazing imo), totally separate from the stages actual viability. If an individual TO decides to trim down the stage list, that is their decision. We shouldn't ban stages simply to reduce the number of CPs.

Super Smash Bros Simon Says? I haven't played any other fighting games where this crap happens. There's so many other good stages where you don't die from not your opponent.

This, pretty much. The stage is very unique due the lack of a ledge on the first part of the stage without being too gamebreaking. The star KO glitch is simply something a player has to be aware of when they go to this stage. Just because someone may personally not like the stage doesn't discredit its viability as a CP.
