Wario Is going to be bottom tier

I sincerely believe that wario is going to be bottom tier character. i mean think about it. his special is a freakin fart? what is that, c'mon. i think many of you will agree with me as well when i say this but I really think he is going to be a useless character

I wasn't joking. You cant judge somebody for the tier list without even having played as them. It's dumb, really really dumb.

And the tier list is just how often people use the characters in tournaments, it doesn't really mean how powerful somebody is.

I'm using past history as a guide here. since when does something like that ever mean something serious? I mean look at game&watch, he's not a joke character but hes most definitely not high up in the tiers.

Tiers aren't soley based on how good characters play in the terms you mentioned, it's more how much people play as those characters. Bowser is at the bottom, because nobody plays as him in tournaments. Which is because he sucks.

But people who play by tiers are weak. You should play as characters you like, not ones who are good.

No, it doesn't work that way. Wario has diffrent moves. He has diffrent statistics. He's not G&W's carbon copy. And taking a guess because Wario has one move that isn't serious, is no way predict. You could predict though if you knew how it worked, instead of the outward apperance.

Nobody said anything about final smashes. We're not concrete saying WARIO ISN'T BOTTOM tier, all we said is there is no way to judge yet.

The tier list is a measure of how characters stack up in tournament play according to the current metagame.

So, no, character potential has nothing to do with the list, at least in the sense that you are trying to predict how a character will evolve to be played a year from now.

The list is just a current representation of how things play out on the tournament scene as a result of the metagame. Falco's game has been evolving over the last year and as a result we have seen Falco shoot up a few notches. Fox's game has undergone that same evolution. Meanwhile very little has been added to Sheik's metagame. Chu Dat started a revolution with Ice Climbers, but it was slow to catch on, which is why the previous list has the Ice Climbers lower than this new list. The new list actually takes into account that other people are playing the Ice Climbers, not just Chu Dat (meep, azn lep, among a few others).

This list is the RESULT of tournament play. Keep that in mind. Many people seem to be saying that this list will influence people, while it is really the opposite way around, the list is influenced by the competitive community. On the noncompetitve newby level the tier list may seem to be counter to logic or just a popularity contest, but it really isn't. Certain characters are played more frequently than other characters because they have more going for them.
