well this is a kinda weird technique but it could help vs those pesky edgeguarders. the only thing is if they know its coming they will start edgehogging and thats also pretty hard to get around. well let me get your thoughts on this after you try it out a bit

Alright.... Well number one, if you're wall teching beneath the stage, the character edgegaurder probably hit you down there and has an attack that can keep you down there. For instance. marth's counter. If he's countering your firebirds and you wall tech to bair, he'll just lol and counter it. It's a good suggestion, and a thoughtful first post, but I don't see it being useful in many situations. That doesn't make it a bad idea, just very situational.

well it might not reach them
e.g. marth tries to tipper you with his fmash.dtilt.. fox hits with just the foot of the dsmash..
i guess it would work if you teched a shine or something, cuz then he'd probably be out there

Falco's recovery is too short to even hit Marth's counter, duh! lolol trolling.

Anyways it's good if your positive it'll land which it should if they aren't Marth spacing an F-smash or something rangy like that.

If it misses, you're back to square one since you now have to Firebird back to the stage at a possibly even worse position than before. (You'll be charging right in front of the ledge which makes you vulnerable and in range to lots of crap.)

Or even if you hit them, and if they're too low percentage, they might not be knocked far enough for you to Firebird back on safely after your bair. Kind of like Falcon up+b you at low percents, but you still have time to run back and edgeguard.

EDIT: It's flashy and cool, but since you're Falco, just don't be cocky offstage. Just phantasm instantly and sweetspot the edge after a walltech to go for the safe option.

if you get the bair out quick enough the range isnt bad. if they edgeguard with something laggy like spacie dsmash or like a counter by the edge the bair should hit before they can do anything else. but only do it if theyre at high enough percent to be pushed back far enough to not be able to hit you again
