I could personally see him being in, just not a s a playable character.
An Assist Trophy is more realistic.

Though, he still does have his chances >__<-b

@Chief Mendez: How is it freaking possible that one man can come up with such awesome movesets? It exemplifies almost all of the things that make Viewtiful Joe unrelentingly awesome. Joe Schmoe is a true hero!

VJ might be a good Capcom character for Brawl, specially since he got born on Nintendo. But Mega Man or even Ryu could top him.

Yeah but there's no way he has better chances than mega-man. Wasn't he born on Nintendo too, not to mention he's been around longer. I mean I wouldn't be mad if Joe in cuz I'd like to see some new generation characters get in like Joe, but I just don't think his chances are too great.

As if Viewtiful Joe would get in over Megaman, not only Megaman was a Nintendo exclusive for years, he is Capcom's mascot, unlike Viewtiful Joe who appears on both Nintendo and the Playstation, doesn't have a legacy behind him unlike Megaman and is not on Sakurai's poll, unlike Megaman, you see where I'm heading right? yeah Megaman FTW!

Sorry if I'm being unrelentingly n00bish here, but isn't this thread for people to gush over Viewtiful Joe and pray he is in Brawl? I mean, megaman's legacy is the elephant in the room: we all know it's there, we would just rather not acknowledge it as it probably kills any chance of our action hero being in.

Viewtiful Schmoe is more dead than Tupac.

I believe, that I heard the institute that made him is not up and running.

So it's ok for you to say that Viewtiful Joe can make it before Megaman in your little denial world but it's not ok for us to say that Megaman will make it before VJ? GTFO!

Whoa! I said nothing of the sort! I just meant that it is fairly obvious that Megaman would represent capcom should they also have a representative, but that so long as I'm in this thread I'd rather not contemplate that truth. Sorry that I offended you.

Capcom still needs to submit their character to SSBB...so far id say Megaman is the most likely, but Viewtiful Joe is a definite second. (Ryu from Street Fighter is also a very close option)

Sad to say, so many little kids, weeaboos, and fan boys are so un-informed about VJ that he probably wont make it into this Super Smash version...almost as if he never had a chance against the sea of even lesser known japanese based characters.

If theres a 4th game, Id say hes a top runner and would more than likely get in.

Just my two cents on what I think a good Viewtiful Joe moveset would be:
(feel free to criticize:laugh:)

A- a simple jab with his right arm; 2-4%
AA- left hook to follow up, 2-4%
repeated A- Red Hot One Hundred, a series of super fast punches, 1-2% each
Running A- The slide move featured in his game, 4-5%

Forward A tilt- a roundhouse kick, better range than his A, 10-11%
Down A tilt- Leg sweep, think of Ganondorf's down A, 8-10%
Up A tilt- uppercut, decent knockup and good for juggling, 9-11%

Forward Smash- A powerful punch that, if it connects, sends Joe into slo-mo for greater damage. Good startup time but has significant lag if it connects. Joe travels about a step forward when using this move. 16-24%
Down Smash: A Luigi-esque break dance move that strikes behind him first and then hits in front, good lateral knockback, 14-20%
Up Smash: He finally puts his helmet to use with a savage head butt, 18-24%

Nair: Standard nair, he thrusts out his leg in a kicking motion, 7-10%
Fair: sweeping punch, think of Sheik's but without the crazy knockback, 8-12%
Bair: thrusts both legs behind him as he strikes a poze, 10-13%
Dair: Generic spike w/ the usual features, 10-12%
Uair: backflip kick, throws enemies slightly behind him, 9-11%

Standard B: performs his windmill kick that can deflect, not reflect, physical projectiles (like Samus' missiles), traps and kicks foes for up to 15% damage. If used in midair it cancels all lateral movement.

Forward B: Throws a voomerang towards his opponent that flies back after some distance, 5-8% damage while thrown and 3-4% on the return trip. If this move is smashed, then the voomerang becomes x-shaped and only travels forward, deals 10-12% damage.

Up B: His zoomed "vortex jump" timing is similar to Mewtwo's in the idea that you have very little lag from startup to execution, so you must be quick in ordering which direction he travels, deals 3-4% damage and has moderate knockback. Edit: has moderate priority so weak projectiles/aerials won't knock him out of his move TOO easily.

Down B: Enters mach speed mode. Lasts 10-15 seconds wherein his attacks and movement become much faster and if he scores enough hits he will catch fire and begin to send out "after-images" towards other opponents. But while in this mode his attacks have less priority and he becomes regular Joe for a predetermined amount of time and cannot use B attacks.

Final Smash: Henshin-a-bye-bye. He dashes forward as the screen zooms in on him (about half the normal size) and starts savagely beating his opponent with his "slow-zoom-red-hot-onehundred" for about 40% and ends with his Viewtiful Forever technique, which causes no damage but can hit other characters if they are on screen and causes crazy knockback which can kill around 65%. But, after this explosion of awesomeness, he is left as regular Joe for the same amount of time as after his \/B.

Taunts:
1. Kisses his fists and says "Time to go to work guys!" from the intro to the 5th level of his 1st game.
2. Gives a thumbs up to the audience and says something to the effect of "let's rock, baby!"

Feel free to correct any and all wrongdoings as this is my first moveset and I'm certain I've missed something or made something imbalanced.

i had always thought the HMD on his shirt stood for Hero Must Die y'know after Devil May Cry

to my surprise when i find out a few years ago it stands for His Master's Dance, based off of a movie in the Joe universe...

Bringing this up, what do you guys think about V.Joe's alts IF by some oddity or error in code, he were to appear in the game?? Perhaps he'd have only one outfit, as we can all get real cryptic about wario is special and that's not even the point of this topic. Perhaps he'd have his everyday clothes as an outfit/color scheme. Perhaps Alastor?? Sylvia??

Speaking of the Cold Blue Lady, do you think she might, IF JOE IS ENCLUDED!! play a role in his Final-Smash as seen in V. Joe 2, for a tag team attack?? Or would you rather see him[and her] hop in the ever changing Six machine :cough:Marvel Vs Capcom Megaman Super move Reference:cough: and tear everything up...

Maybe.. Perhaps... Hypothetically... IF. HE. GETS. IN. SOMEHOW. Discuss
