Honestly, never ask who you should main. Just play a bunch of characters and you'll begin to figure out who you're best with. Don't have people choosing for you.

That's the great thing about fighting games, you begin to find a character that fits your style and persona.

What's the big deal with colors? Just pick your favorite color of the bunch, and brush off any remarks about it from other people. It's what I do (then again, I just always pick the black color on every character unless they don't have one).
