It's just the stigma of being a mod combined with the same type of petty attitudes that Brawl/Sm4sh players get from Melee elitists all the time.

The subtle differences between PM and Melee mean that Melee players have to learn new things to be good at PM instead of just playing the same characters the same way, and the ones that put a lot of time into Melee might not like that. It bothers me when people say PM is just "worse" or "easy" Melee because they feel like 2 different games to me.

Hey @ N nqztv , have you noticed some issues with nintendon't? I think I'm going to switch to dios mios.
1. The music keeps cutting out.
2. The control is kind of wonky (e.g. you can't hold L part way down to disable light shield, strange zeroing) (I think enabling native control fixes this, but not sure)

I guess that's it, still I think mios is going to be better for me, and even though nintendon't is a cool project I'm not using a wiiu... so might as well go with what works. Are you still using nintendon't setups at the weeklies? any thoughts?

the music cutting out is a known issue, but it's never been a big deal since it's just bgm. it's never happened too often to me and usually it's been temporary. i haven't noticed number 2, but i'll keep my eye out for it now.

i still prefer nintendont over dios mios. nintendont is actively developed and dios mios sometimes wouldn't start up for me. plus with nintendont, you can still use the disc drive if you need to.

As someone who doesnt play Melee or PM much, PM feels way easier imo.

Dios Mios is a lot better in my opinion. I've had a lot less issues using it.

Anyway, my work for PM is mostly comprised of casual "for fun" stages, so it doesn't really bother me if the Utah scene doesn't like the game (since competitive players aren't the target audience for my stuff anyway). Play what you enjoy, but don't be a jerk about it.

Ehh not really. A lot of my casual friends seem to enjoy it but local Springville tourneys still stick to Melee/PM
