UST 15 (Utah Melee Tournament - June)

So, back on topic, when is this June Tournament going to happen? It nearly midway through June.

I dont think a tourney is going to happen. But if it doest it will be the end of the month so make plans for it then. I will also try to convince FTS to include Brawl so I can see everyone one last time. Even though I hate the game I am going to miss alot of people.

Both the thursday PnT and the monthly melee can't fail. That's too much free time for some of us. =P

I didn't feel up to hosting a tournament for June. July is really busy for me and some other people. I will probably host a tournament sometime in August. No promises, though. I'm definitely burned out on smash tournies. Most of the reasons have been mentioned in this thread already.

I can host a melee smashfest on June 27th, though, if people want one.

Me .it will give me a chance to get to know more smash players that aren't into brawl, and since i'm mediocre at melee. i don't think i'd hit up a lot of the melee tourneys. haha.
But i find the matches quite satisfying none the less. =]

Even most of the melee players wouldn't come to a tourney that was all melee, just to let you know.

(And don't bring up the last one as an example people, because people only went for C!Z and Junpei >_>)

Well, we don't know if there's going to be a Melee tourney.
All FTS mentioned was that he could host a smashfest.

None for July. FTS mentioned that it'll get busy for him in July.
As for August, who knows.

Maybe... Just possibly.
I might be able to hold a Melee tourney the same night that I have the Brawl tourney. No date yet.
Owners of the house cleared it, but I've heard there being messes and stuff like that for the residence of the house to clean up.
If I do host one/both... the same night. we have to be respectful, and that goes for every tourney. my place or not. Come on guys. Be classy.
I use to throw Halo tourneys back when I was sponsored. 40+ players show up. by the end of the night. you couldn't tell anyone was there. That enabled me to have more tourneys.
Possibly if everything goes right. My place could be the new monthly destination.
I shall talk to the parentals about this after this is discussed for a bit here.

I try to match my current font color with my current avatar whenever I can.
And Vazor, let's play a whole lot of Melee when I get back. I can't say that I've gotten better, but I'd still like to Smash.

Same here. It mostly has to do with age. I never see anyone 20+ leaving a mess or damages. Including brawl usually makes the aftermath really nasty.

We often (5 of the last 20 or so tourneys I've been to anyway) have female players at our tourneys here, so I don't think it's a problem. I personally make it a point to be the kind of person that doesn't have to change how they act when they're around any given group of people, and the more the merrier, so I vote yes.

Dark Ryu is a guy. I don't know who that is on his avatar, though. And currently, we have no active female Smashers in this SmashBoards community we have here (Sada brings a female friend of his to the tournaments, but she doesn't post on here, so pretty much anyone posting in these Utah-related threads are male).
