It does around 30 damage if timed properly, and I'm wondering why no one uses this trick. I think it would be fairly effective as a damage builder, especially if you short hop out of your shield and up b next your opponent while tilting left or right.

Because Falco does not deal damage while in the stationary stage of his Up-B, he is extremely vunerable during this time. If an opponent is close enough, he will hit you out of it, and if the opponent is too far to reach you in time, then they will certainly see this coming, and have an attack ready if you aim it in their direction. In a situation where the opponent is completely vunerable (Asleep, Shield Broken, etc.) Falco has many more effective choices. Hope this answers your question.

Yes you are. It could be used after a shine if they're at the right percentage to kill them off the top.

It's situational but sometimes I use it as a vertical killer on floaties after shine on stages with low ceilings (YS)

It's funny when you shine a fox onto pokemon stadium platform and try to shine again but your fingers slip and you do an up b so you improvise and do the accidental up b as a tech chase -_-.

This Up b is amazing because tilting the controller left or right actually does something different. :)
