Unlocking characters.

I was curious about how we would unlock characters in SSBB are we going to have to discover all of the ways ourselves or are they going to be released on cheat sites etc. the day of release? I would really hate to have to discover everything because in all honesty i hate all the fluff being put into SSBB I only play smash for multiplayer with my friends so i want to unlock all the characters as fast as possible so we can get right into it. I know that sounds cruel and unusual but i really just hate single player games i would be totally content if brawl was released with only multiplayer and every character and stage unlocked from the start so im a freak lol.

Back to my question does anyone know if this info will be released?

I'm very certain that a guide will be released shortly before or after Brawl comes out. You can either buy it or wait till someone put the guides information on a website (as cheats).

People will start finding them out by playing through some of the modes. I bet Jiggly will be unlocked the same as the previous two games (by beating any 1-p player mode the first time).

First of all, beating all event matches and break the targets isn't very hard, at all. I'm pretty sure "n00bs" can do that. Secondly, just cause you can play a character that your opponent doesn't have doesn't mean that you will win. You could suck with that character, and your opponent could own you with bowser (no putting down bowser or anything...). And if your talking tier wise, you sound stupid. Sonic will not over-power all the other characters if he is in fact a confirmed character. And similar to what I said before, even though you play a higher tier character than your opponent, doesn't always mean you have an advantage.

I would play it until I was able to find cheat codes to get everything. If cheats come out that would allow me to unlock everything right away I would use it. Or if there is a finished file online I would get it. I hope really care much for single player modes.

I will probably just leave 4 controllers in for hours and then come back to unlock everything.

Think it like this, there are more secret characters in Brawl, so do everything you did to unlock characters in Melee. The first thing I'm going to do is play as every character in vs mode which should unlock my first character easily. Then I'll start playing adventure mode, doing target test, HRC, Events and anything else that unlocked a character in melee.

I personally think it's fun to not know what the complete roster of characters is until I unlock a particular character. I remember I didn't even realize G&W was even in the game until late, the same with the DK 64 Stage.

Hah break all the targets, all star mode, and event matches are not that hard on the ssbm and ssb it was pretty easy plus doing something like thats stupid especially when sonic isnt going to have an insane advantage over all other characters.

I do hate getting agrivated with some of the events but come on whats wrong with playing the game the way its supposed to be played. There are those out there who just go and get a game shark or cheat to get what they want while a friend comes over and says "Omg u got game and watch thats nice!" You bask in glory making them think u completed all star mode with Mario and without dieing. While as those of us who don't cheat our friend comes over and says that and we are so happy that they realize we worked hard and weren't pansies to try and unlock something. Those that unlock it he real way are the hardcore smashers and the truelly skilled players.

Gamesharks and other cheat devices wont work for long.

It doesn't matter if you look up how to unlock someone on the net, yeah it ruins who's in the game, but it doesn't make it any less hard in doing so.

Your putting words in my mouth. I never said that Sonic would be the best. I know that gimpyfish could own my top tier marth. I'm saying that because we are good players, we could beat newbs with practically anyone. I think it wuld be funny if I was just owning some newbs with Sonic, and they would feel bad because they can't play as Sonic (or snake) and they'd cry "it's not fair, I don't have Sonic". then I'll rematch them in a ditto and still own them. You need to learn how to listen because your compleley mnisunderstanding me. And as far as beating all the break the targets and event matches being easy for newbs... Talk to some real news, some 12 year olds who olny play with items. Espically beating the game on hard on all-star mode.
