I just had an idea for an asset for Super Mario Maker.

You know the one-way gates they have, what if they had "# of Pass" gates, like you can only pass through the gate so many times before it seals off.

You could use the gates in both single player and multiplayer stages; for the purposes of puzzles or gating how many players can enter certain areas.

Just a random thought.

I was dreading the Ace Attorney playthrough, because I was sure they'd get stuck on day 1 and just never finish it, but they've surprised me. Especially with Dan solving the entire case right then and there like you mentioned.

Dude's got the best DMC5 play-through and is going through the Wonderful 101.

Even worse is when you try to make the shower hotter but then it's too hot so you try to make it colder but it's so flipping cold. You keep alternating until you find the happy medium.

There's also these really interesting videos on the virtual boy series called Virtual Boy Works. It focuses on the games released for the system. One of them is about Jack Bros., one of the earlier SMT games to hit the west which is kind of a twin stick shooter style game.

I think it's a perfect storm for them, from my limited viewings of Game Grumps.

Arin at many points seems like he just flat out doesn't enjoy a game. And when he doesn't enjoy it and is simply playing it for views, it shows in just how little he cares. He misses extremely simple context clues that someone invested in the game wouldn't miss. (The current Twilight Princess playthrough is a big example of that.)

Dan, at the same time, tries to feign enjoyment when he's also not that into the game, to give Arin stuff to comment on. So a lot of times what he'll say will either be a) not related to the game at all, or b) the equivalent of your grandpa trying to make a comment on Reddit.

With Ace Attorney, they have something actively demanding their attention because they have to read everything out loud, and from Dan's point of view, he can now get more thoroughly invested because the reading and mystery solving have nothing to do with gameplay. Even though Arin's pressing the buttons, Dan gets to be just as involved, and his detachment from the game lets him just analyze it like a murder mystery, which, by murder mystery standards, AA has never been particularly hard.

I think this might actually be the perfect type of game for them. The game's so absurd and charming that commentary isn't a chore now; it's just natural.

What do you mean, that was a perfectly reasonable cause. What I want is more important than someone's work and living conditions.
