Is Smashboards really that bad outside this thread?

I did a Virgin vs. Chad meme with Gamefaqs and Smashboards a while back, and I had several people here call me out on it saying that it's wildly inaccurate. Right now, we're in a safe zone amongst what is just another Gamefaqs. I'm just grateful I'm one of the decent members on here. Same applies to everyone else that frequents this tread that isn't known to cause trouble (at least with the intent to harm).

Personally, I feel like the Manhattan Transfer version strays just a bit too far from Herbie Hancock at points. In my mind the original still beats all covers.

In my opinion, remixes cannot be judged off of the song that they originated from. A remix that is loyal to the source is not necessarily better than a remix that branches into another genre.

Not going to lie though, the Herbie Hancock version is still really good.



Unironically, smooth jazz is the best music genre to deal with stress and anxiety.

Yeah, I was firmly on the fence with the whole thing. Lots of it looked pretty convincing, but the lack of hard evidence in favor of it severely hurt it in the end and it's what had me assume the strong possibility that it was likely false at the end (which of course, ended up being the outcome). Too many Grinchers gambled hard and lost hard.

It was so pathetic that you can compile all commentary that was ever done by Grinchers who felt cheated by Sakurai and you can probably hear the cries of hundreds as they refuse to admit that they played themselves. Even Vegeta would wince at their pride being broken.

Fair point. I lurk /v/ from time to time so I'm used to seeing crummy **** like that. There was one such bait topic that pissed off a lot of users due to shock images in that one thread. Was it Grinch-related?

Probably, but I didn't want to risk seeing anything out of line because whatever image got deleted, it got a really bad press from the members. Gamefaqs had an option to disable forum images at the time, so I took the option and ran with it.

Funny thing is that I never saw the film in its entirety, but I'm familiar with the plot. Whether or not one idea is in character was irrelevant at the time. I just thought that both sides were being irrational about the situation. It really was just a war between a group of overconfident morons versus fun-hating elitists.
