If we're talking about college reform, the only way to do so is be outstanding enough to take an active role in making change. That means being on your school's Student Government (if one exists), taking leadership in clubs focused on issues you want to see change in, networking and getting into a position to meet and seriously talk administrative staff for your school, etc.

Nobody's ever accomplished anything by just complaining about it.
That, and voting for people who actually care about education reform. Can't stress that enough.

This is TPC requesting Hinata Hinata for backup. I've got an emotionally distraught user who needs help.

I don't really know what to tell you here. College experiences differ between people, and I'd chalk up your negative experiences more towards the unfortunate circumstances going on in your life right now rather than everyone else being out to get you. Yes, people suck (like those "partners of your's), but not all of them do. While attributing failure to an external locus of control is better for our ego, attributing it to an internal locus of control allows for reflection and growth.

Furthermore, College isn't always going to be the saving grace that some think it will be. For me it definitely was, but that's because I went into it with an open mindset and worked my *** off to make the most of it. And even then, I'm struggling to gain my footing in some regards after an entire year.

Hitting yourself won't get you anywhere. I used to do that a lot myself when I'd break down and it did nothing but hurt. I didn't feel better. I didn't get any closer to fixing my problems. I just sat there with a hurt head and a worse mood to go along with it.

Maybe talking to your professor would improve things? Tell him your side of the story since it seems like your "partners" didn't do that. At the end of the day professors are people too, and they're not evil, money-grubbing demons. Those are the administrators of colleges.

In terms of being isolated from your support system, have you made an effort to establish one on your college campus? Do you see your school's counseling services (if they're available/affordable)? Do you have any friends or professors to include in that? Having a support system is extremely important, but you can't expect one to just form around you. It takes time and effort.

Also, I would personally say that you shouldn't let your experiences impact those of your children. While similar in many ways, children are their own people, and have their own experiences. There's a lot to gain from a public education, so I'd keep an open mind when it comes to that.
I am talking to the professor about it. But I doubt it will change anything. They’ve said in no uncertain terms that it doesn’t matter why I didn’t contribute. Only whether or not I did.

I used to speak to the school counselor. But they aren’t equipped for long term support. They told me as much. They sent me off to a specialized therapist who I don’t talk to very often because of the money required.

I wish I had friends. But that just hasn’t happened. I’ve tried. But nothing has stuck. I’m going to try to join son clubs next semester but... I don’t know if that’s gonna work.

As for adding professors to my support system. I’ve never thought of that. I don’t exactly have an open invitation to contact many of them. The classes just sort of end and we move on.

I just want the educational system to be fixed. I’m sick of chasing scores.

So.....

Was the concert worth it? :yoshi:
Absolutely. We got some good P5R news, and we got to hear a live performance of the Phoenix Rangers Featherman R theme.

Try joining clubs soon as you can. You'd be surprised how many people like you are out there. Gaming club is always a good start.

I can see what you mean. College is quite the waste in money, isn't it? Why spend so much money on those lots of things in college, anyway? Couldn't it be any cheaper?

Anyone who replied to this and suggested removing Pikmin should hang their head in shame

SHAME

Anyways, how is everyone this fine morning
Considering the only thing done with Star Fox the last 10 years was remake 64 twice, I'd kill it for a really well made Punch-Out!! or F-Zero Sequel. Especially the latter, since you could just add Little Mac or a descendant to ARMS and almost no one would complain it in the slightest.

It could. But buying housing and food from the campus is literally the cheapest option available. Everything else costs more.

I admit, I am learning skills related to my trade that I couldn’t anywhere else. But I’m doing that on top of all this other crap. It sucks. College sucks.

It's a shame about the professor and counselor. Have you spoken to counseling about the costs of the therapist? Maybe they could help you.

If you go into clubs with the mindset of "I don't know if it'll work" it's likely not going to work. You're already setting yourself up for defeat. You have to go into it with a positive mindset or else it won't work.

If you make lasting connections with your professors they can become part of your support system. That means getting close to them though, which you may or may not want to do.

If you want the education system to be fixed, then do as @faygoshill suggested and grind until you're in a position to change it.

Imagine if a future Punch-Out!! installment took place 20 years later and MAC was training Doc Loius’s son...

Vergeben absolutely had actually leaked information on the base roster, which he likely got from playtesters.

Aside from having information on the Square Enix DLC pick (which has yet to be confirmed, but is considered common knowledge among insiders) all of his other DLC information has been completely wrong, including Steve as playable, or Minecraft content in the first place.

As i’ve said before, most leakers have the content dropped to them as opposed to seeing it firsthand. In addition, leakers that usually speak up are saying things that other insiders already know, but will not risk saying. This is because they typically protect their sources as they do not want to risk anyone losing their job over something so silly.

Why do I know this? Well, because between Wii U and now Ultimate, i’ve been told certain things by certain people. Things i’ve been told have at times turned out to be true. I won’t name names, but I will simply say that things are usually leaked and more people know about those things than you think.

Maybe. It’s not that we can’t afford the therapist, my insurance covers her. It’s just, I can’t afford the transit to the therapist. Her office is off campus further into the city. To far to walk.

Maybe i’ll be in a better place by next semesters start and I’ll be able to have a positive outlook on joining a club. I hope so at least. It’s just hard not to think that you’re butting in on a pre-established friend group.

and it was at this day forward, cla would be on faygo's minority list
I had to look this up to make sure I wasn’t being a damn fool but ahem my joke is the following:

You mean minority report

Hahahaha you see, cause there’s a movie called minority report, and the plot summary I skimmed says it’s about cops arresting people based on future murders (it’s a futuristic movie)! That’s the reference.

And by that I mean, @faygoshill is gonna commit a murder soon.

Have you considered public transportation?

There's nothing wrong with taking a city bus.

I mean, Punch-Out is basically video game Rocky, might as well make knock-off video game Creed to an extent too.
