Honestly, I think Akechi is one of the worst written characters I have ever seen in a Persona game, so hey, if they somehow make him...

slightly less trash than he is, I'd be totally fine.

So first, P5 on the Switch hasn't been announced yet and industry insiders don't think it's a thing.

Secondly though, the reaction to Joker-- and Kasumi, judging by this thread-- has been extremely positive. And he wouldn't be on the ballot because he didn't exist yet. To use "promotional" and "for the fans" as opposites is a very disingenuous way of saying "what I want isn't in".

While this is satire, I do love how the grappling hook was revealed in Smash before P5R.

Interesting little tidbit about Smash DLC (from Push Dustin translations). DLC wasn’t decided for Smash since Jan 11 last year.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

So we have a time frame from February 2018 - November 2018 when the newcomers for DLC were being decided. Some characters take more time to get than others, so different newcomers were decided at different times, but, were all locked in by early November.

I guess this for some people who thought DLC was decided at the same time as the base roster.

Also, hilariously enough, Fist of the Blue Sky DOES have a character named Kasumi.

Interesting. I wonder what this means for newer characters from games that haven't been released yet. Virtually every major Switch game featuring characters who could realistically get in Smash was announced before or within that time frame.

A BotW Champion and/or Gen 8 Pokemon would be great, Sakurai. Please?

I hope I can choose between his Crow looks cause frankly his appearance in Sae’s palace looks much better than his appearance in shido’s palace.
