Personally, I don't get all the Tracer hate. Is it just popular to hate Overwatch now?

She has personality, she has a colorful, easily identifiable design, she has vanishing moves for mixups, she has futuristic laser pew pew guns that make it okay to use them as moves, and she has zero swords.

She checks off like every box needed for a third party guest star and yet everybody here talks **** about her. I'm curious about the reason.

New things I'd like to see for Stage Builder:

-Custom music playlist: Create a stage and give it at least 5 different songs to choose from, all across different games.

-Custom texture mode: Upload a screenshot or image in your Switch Album and upload it. Then select an image for tessellation editing

-Add-Ons ALA Mario Maker, where you can import Nintendo-approved backdrops and props (i.e. Donkey Kong barrels and warp pipes)

-Foregrounds and backgrounds (not that sort) to give stages some depth. Think Little Big Planet, except you don't interact with those planes

-Texture color changing for tiles, props, and backgrounds, including filters and weather effects, even as absurd as rainstorms and outer space

There's definitely more, but these are off the tip of my tongue.

The next direct will be a general one and will be dubbed "the crafting direct", with a focus on Mario Maker 2 and Ultimate's Stage Builder

Then Steve will get his big reveal at the end :^)

I never played Overwatch so I'm indifferent. Otherwise, she has potential and that's all I'll say. Not advocating for her, though.

Tracer could be sort of cool, but if any Blizzard character is in Smash it should probably be Arthas

If it's Chrono, then that one leak from even before Joker's reveal that had Joker....




Though Edelgard and Sylux don't make as much sense anymore given recent developments and seem more like products of what was "popular" at the time of speculation, so who knows.

You see, I love Tracer, her design, her time powers, even her weird British catchphrases.

... but I don't like Overwatch.

Very popular to hate, though I imagine there are some that just don't like shooters nor how poorly done some representation is.

You could do that by just unignoring them.

Making it a public display that they annoyed you isn't going to do any good. If anything, them seeing it would just get them back on the list or get you on theirs.

Against realistic guns, guns that could potentially lead to concerns among parental figures.
Other guns that are more fantastical are fine.
