That said, home run contest would be in that screen as well if it were in the game, so does that mean it's not in the game and we get just stage builder?

You know, having not played XBC2, I kind of imagine Malos being voiced by James Patrick Stewart (Xigbar), even though I know that's not the case (it's David Menkin).

Especially one like Xenoblade that I'm not even sure I'd enjoy (ARPGs aren't my genre).

Brawl's and Smash 4's Stage Builders were way too barren.
This is a Switch. This is Ultimate.

Backgrounds would be nice and so would custom playlists.
Other than that, I'd like the parts from Brawl to come back but still allow us to freely draw terrain.

Though really, I just wanna recreate my Lost Shinjuku stage that I did on Wii U

I wasn't a big fan of Smash 4's stage builder. Brawl's stage builder was perfect because of the blocks that allowed for perfectly grid-based design. It allowed for more concrete structures rather than the wobbly slopes. Smash 4 had potential, but they should have gave us squares to make straight lines with.

If they combined the best of both worlds for Smash Ultimate, I think we'd all be able to take full advantage of it.

Custom stages are probably what the sixth empty space in the stage selection screen is. So we have the 5 DLC stages and a tab for custom stages.
I wonder if this hurts the chance of a second fighter pass.

I just want better aesthetic options, like more ground types, backgrounds, etc.

Also stage morph with custom stages would be nice.
