I'm not one to badger in on conversations like this, but I feel it's appropriate to give some input for a fresh bit of perspective.

Everyone has a different sense of humor, and comedy is something that comes naturally (usually with experience). ToasterBrains is pretty much right on the mark regarding likes. We're all just flexing our thoughts, and the fact that informative posts attract just as much if not more attention than comedic posts shows how intelligent, witty, and balanced this community is. I like you people because you're all entertaining and full of creative thinking.

As we've seen yesterday, we had to deal with a chuckleheaded edgelord who thought he was being cute. I won't say his name, but he got a lot of us upset. The moment you announce the intentions beyond your posts, be it "this is supposed to be a well thought-out response" or "look at me, hee-hee-hee, I funni", that's when desperation becomes very apparent. The difference between you and that ***clown is that you're a good person, if a bit misguided.

Imo, you shouldn't search for validation from people online. There's nothing wrong with making people want to like you, but if your life revolves around seeking to be loved by people online... you might have a bigger problem at hand. Doing so would put you in an endless spiral of seeking love from people who don't truly, personally know you, your ins and outs, and to me, trying to seek that just isn't worth it. I like you guys, but not that much.
