Like, I get that he's a robot, but I would imagine he'd have more of an edge or emotion to his voice. He's the ring leader of a crazed bunch of possessed animatronics trying to murder you, not a middle-aged dad talking with the guys at a golf meet.

Was going to go with that but there was a voice listing last year that actually gave a voice description. It never said that he should sound crazed.

Was going to go with that but there was a voice listing last year that actually gave a voice description. It never said that he should sound crazed.

Looking at the three voice descriptions for all three Freddys here's what he have:

He is a large entertainment robot, so be should sound robust and jolly, while also sounding, well, murderous. He speaks his lines after killing the player.

He should sound like an irritated but goofy cartoon character. He says everything with agitation in his voice, but can't help the fact that he sounds like a giant grumpy teddy bear (because he is, in fact, a giant toy bear).

The voice should be modeled after automated carnival and circus attractions, such as Fortune Tellers or Prize Cranes, things that are designed to sound friendly but come across as unnatural, robotic, and unnerving.

I assume you're going for OG Freddy, in which case you still need more emotion. You somewhat get "robust and jolly," but I never really felt the "murderous" part. At the very least it was subdued by the former.

Why not try looking into other characters like that and using one of them as a base? What about already existing interpretations of Freddy? Surely those could offer some form of inspiration as well.

I was using Rockstar Freddy as a base. I will work on the jolly part.
I was going to work a bit more on the murderous part of his voice but I wasn't 100% sure which path I should go with that. I just decided to pull a Toy Chica and make him sound murderous in some lines, while happy in the others. If you have any references of Jolly yet murderous characters I'd love to see those.
