Personal favorites for Starter Finals
Gen 1: Charizard
Generic Fire-Breathing Dragon with a lit tail. How boring... and absolutely radical. He's cool, I like him way more than everyone else, please give me rock-smash back.
Gen 2:
TyphlosionFeraligatr
I used to LOVE Typhlosion, and then they removed the flames until he only attacked, making him look like a giant weasel. Now Feraligator? He's just a giant dumb Aligator and I love him.
Gen 3: Sceptile
I dunno, I'm just a big fan of the lizardy design with with leaf arm blades and the fern tail. Makes it look animalistic, but with human-y traits.
Gen 4: Empoleon
It's such a clever mix of an "Emperor" Penguin and Napoleon. Huge fan of the formal design and the sharp fins that look natural. Weird little claw finger thingies, but I'll deal
Gen 5: Serperior
Honestly, not a big fan of any of these, but out of the bunch Serperior does have a sense of grace about it that's really nice.
Gen 6: Greninja
This one's pure bias. When I play JRPGs, I'm all about DPS and dishing out damage and them being a trifecta of classes with Greninja being the rogue instantly made him my favorite. Tongue scarf is neat too I suppose.
Gen 7: Primarina
I appreciate the simplicity of this one. Mermaid + Seal, simple, understandable and easy to get. The others are pretty good, but honestly, I really do not like Pokemon that feel like they're just people in animal suits and I kinda feel that with Decidueye despite his cool design and especially Incineroar, who seems like he may as well be human.
Gen 8: Scorbunny (Currently)
It's cute and got this energetic slapstick cartoon mascot aesthetic which is super adorable. Can't say anything about his potential evolutions, but currently, Scorbunny's adorable.
aww, look at him Naruto run, how precious.
