Snake: Colonel, why does Luigi have a vacuum with him? Did he start some sort of housekeeping business recently? It seems odd...

Colonel: That’s not a regular vacuum, Snake, that’s the Poultergust G-00, the newest creation of Professor Elvin Gadd, made primarily for capturing ghosts. Even though there aren’t any ghosts around for Luigi to collect, he uses it in battle as a long range grapple, with a plunger head attached to the end.

Snake: A ghost vacuum, huh... also a plunger head? Please tell me that it hasn’t been used as an actual plunger...

Colonel: Interestingly, all of the ghosts that are captured in the Poultergust can be turned into paintings, with another device created by Professor Gadd, as well as turned back into their original forms by going into the contraption backwards. It’s an odd, but impressive invention.

Snake: Odd doesn’t even begin to describe that guy for me, you’d have to be crazy to come up with inventions such as a ghost vacuum and some machine that turns them into pieces of art... at least he’s not the genius behind my equipment...
