Honestly, you play against Ridley like you play against Dorf, space him out, bait and punish him. Ridley is basically Ganon but larger and lighter in exchange for more combo game and more speed and general mobility.

Potentially because Mario is unexplored and most would rather bother with characters they know are good rather then look into characters they don't know anything about

Exactly. It seems like if a top tier in one game gets even the smallest of nerfs many will instantly move on to another character. Hopefully more people learn and come back to Mario

Honestly you did a pretty decent job playing Ridley.

But against someone who knows Ridley very well, like me, you're already at a disadvantage b/c they know exactly when to punish him (AKA a missed Side B/ any other high endlag move).

Ultimately, you just got be patient w/ and bait/space him out. Pretty much what Raxxel said.

God I hate going back and playing older fighting games. They never have a vs cpu mode. So unless you have the time to go through Arcade Mode or pay for PScam+, XScam Live, or Nintendo Scam Online, you cannot play them. At least most modern fighters have this feature.

It’s really disappointing. I wanted to go back and play some MK9 in anticipation of MK11’s release. But nope. Nothing I can do.
