I'm pretty sure a majority of my posts have little to no likes, or at least they did when I posted here more often. Even my larger posts "underperform" sometimes, like my second write-up which only got ~15 likes compared to my last one, which got ~40-50.

Don't worry about stupid things like likes. It's an internet forum, not a popularity contest. Just being here and voicing your thoughts is enough.

Most of my likes come from the Ultimate speculation phase when I tackled leaks and speculation (with the occasional ****post); I was far from popular during Sm4sh speculation.

In the poster in the FNAF 1 office, Bonni is ever so slightly floating off the stage. When asked, Scott said Bonnie doesn’t obey the laws of physics sarcastically. There was also a glitch where Bonnie would teleport around the map, making it even funnier. (Bug is fixed now.)

I surprisingly can relate to this a lot. I blame my social timidity, not to mention my interests are very rare.... with the exception of Pit and Monster Hunter. I guess this is part of what makes me bored and sad a lot. It's like hard to find others with similar interests these days, or those who can accept you despite your flaws or strange things. But alas, timidity is very troubling. *nervous*

When someone here brings the problem of only liking a few franchises, I always have in my mind a single idea: We should turn each character support thread into a franchise support thread.

If that was done, I strongly believe that those threads could actually be used by the fans of said series to meet up and talk about their stuff with ease.
That way, I wouldn’t have to worry about waiting for the Ultimate thread or Nintenzone to end with a theme I know nothing about to join in (like Fire Emblem or Jojo) and instead talk about stuff I know about like Metroid, Crash Bandicoot or Dragon Quest in their respective threads.

I don’t know if I should make a thread where I propose this idea to the people behind the site, since I like this idea a lot.

When someone here brings the problem of only liking a few franchises, I always have in my mind a single idea: We should turn each character support thread into a franchise support thread.

If that was done, I strongly believe that those threads could actually be used by the fans of said series to meet up and talk about their stuff with ease.
That way, I wouldn’t have to worry about waiting for the Ultimate thread or Nintenzone to end with a theme I know nothing about to join in (like Fire Emblem or Jojo) and instead talk about stuff I know about like Metroid, Crash Bandicoot or Dragon Quest in their respective threads.

I don’t know if I should make a thread where I propose this idea to the people behind the site, since I like this idea a lot.

Yeah, there could be some problems.
But it is true that there is stuff I literally cannot talk about at times, since my knowledge on the topic isn’t enough to do so.

I mean, that's just how the flow of conversation goes.

I also sometimes just feel like gushing about things I like, or pouring out pointless fact after fact about new games I've gotten into.

But sometimes you just have to wait your turn, like if the convo shifts to it or if the thread dies for a bit. That way everybody can get a chance to chime in about stuff, even if they had to wait a while because the thread was on FE drama again

You can try if you want, but I'm very picky on things I like. Plus my memory tends not to be so great, so I do forget some details on things I may like. Plus I can feel that it's only a matter of time til others will get tired of either my rants or repeated talk on things... wouldn't be the first time, but at the same time, I did want to make a better impact this year, while getting past my timidity a bit for once. At this point, even a little push of improvement would be good for me.

There are franchise support threads made already. And threads in the Ultimate forum that aren't the social thread. The social thread is meant for socializing.

Seriously though, I really hope the game the leak is talking about is Earthbound 64 on a theoretical N64 Classic cause I would so buy EB64 and Compare it to
the GBA Version of Mother 3. the Mother franchise has never been in 3D which I think makes EB64 really interesting and the Story was supposed to be even Darker than what it turned out to be.

Fingers crossed for EB64.

When I did that with Doom... I had kind of a bad time online.

Many people on some Discords, Twitter and at times Youtube kept telling me about how the Doom series was kinda like the second coming of Christ, how needed it was to play them before dying and some other dumb stuff. In the end, I decided to follow their comments and try the games they suggested like Brutal Doom, 2016 and Doom 2... But I didn’t like them.
After trying them and feeling kind of dissapointed... I just stopped playing Doom. I have the Switch port of 2016 taking dust in my shelf for a long while and I don’t have interest on picking it. And outside of this place, it seemed like people took it as an awful thing that I didn’t like the Doom games.

I’m not fond on the “You must play this game to fit” mentallity, tbh.
