Ok, so buying brand new controllers off of Amazon is apparently a joke. I'm on my third controller now, and once again, within 3 days of using it, I've noticed a problem. The R button tends to stick in after L-cancelling something or wavedashing, etc. I've noticed it's more prone to doing so when hitting the A button at about the same time. For any controller repair experts(lolz =P), is there any reason to tear this controller apart and try to fix it, or should I send it back in to Amazon and pray that the 4th controller from them is 100% function-able?

Well, I say take apart the controller and try to fix it. It's not like you're breaking a warranty or anything. You can always send it back afterwards. If you send it back now, how will you know if it could have been fixed or not?

It means something is wrong with your spring. The R Button should be coming back up. Did you check to see if all of the parts were included in the controller? Was it a used controller?

Get a tri-head screwdriver, open it up, and see what's wrong. If you need controller parts, PM me.

There's no need to send it back. This is easily fixable.

Yeah it's 100% brand new, it came in the box and everything. It's white if that matters at all. It's just silly because the first one had something unidentifiably(lol) wrong with it, the second would not fastfall 100% of the time AKA something was wrong at least with the vertical axis on the control stick, and now this problem occurred. It just started happening too, like the first couple of days it was fine. Now, it's just like I go to L-cancel a move, and then after doing so, I shield because the button is still slightly in place, and then it releases back into it's usual position. I'll be looking into taking it apart soon.

If it says "Gamecube Compatible" and is not Nintendo brand, chances are it's a piece of crap. I've had lots of experience with them.

Oh nonono, I've came across those once too and I know to make sure they're Nintendo brand. Like, it is 100% brand new, still in the box, wrapped up with those bread ties and all lol.

is it one of those white controllers?

or is it one of the originals. and if it is does it say "nintendo gamecube" at the top? if its a real one, it should.

Otherwise, look @ the seller. Alot of them are selling them cuz they know they're broken *** pieces of ****

These are the new ones that are most recently manufactured. Parts are slightly different in them, actually. If I were you, I'd buy an older Silver model. Personal preference, though. I can send you a silver model shell, actually. I have tons of them.

Good luck, though.
